Guess you're not buying the "double team" theory either.

    honestly.. it's pure crap.

if clowney is so dominant, how come he can't break a double team against inferior competition?

i'll tell you why.. because he has NO heart.

one of his red flags is when things aren't going his way, he gives crap effort.

you can't fix a player's motor. they either have it or they don't. ala mario williams.

anyways, if the texans go defense, they would be idiots to not trade down and draft Khalil Mack. He will be the best defensive player of the draft. Outside of maybe Aaron Donald.

Yeah he seems to think that literally every analyst out there is wrong and he is right when it comes to Clowney. He's part of an ever shrinking pocket of ignorance, but he'll probably be the last one on the bandwagon after everyone else jumps off. He's a committed Bridgewater fan.

    Mario was the right move??
VY would have done better, imo.

They exist. Most of these people cheered for VY against the Texans, too.

People actually still bring up this topic on local radio. They still believe Texans should give him a shot.

You never know how he would have done here. You're acting as if he were a total bust. He had a better career than Mario.

I can sum up why I want Clowney in just one gif. I never want this to happen again

The Texans had no pass rush whatsoever when they weren't blitzing last year because Watt was the only player worth a damn on that entire line. You could put 2 guys on Watt and parking cones in front of everyone else. I want a legit 4 man rush and Clowney helps that happen.

Watch Mercilus (right side) in that video. I'm not a coach, but I see a guy engage, try and bull rush, have a spin move interrupted by the guard, and then he turns around to see what happened, because the clock in his brain that says the ball should have left by now goes off. It's another split second where he realizes that Brady is still in the pocket, with the BALL and he tries to reengage. *I just watched it again and Reed does the exact same thing at about the same exact moment.

We only rushed four, but they made no contribution to the pocket collapsing. I want Clowney, I want him on our defense with Cushing and Watt. I just wonder how that play looks if he is on the field. Still going four on five, but perhaps Clowney's speed stops that play in two seconds. When you have a chance for that. You go get it IMHO.

Yeah I have so many problems with what happened in that video, Brady took 4 seconds to get rid of the ball, but honestly, he could still he sitting there in the pockets right now if he wanted to. Our guys were never going to get any pressure.

I think if Clowney is in that play, they have to do it completely differently because they'd have to double Watt AND Clowney. Also, if you took out Brooks Reed and put Travardo in there, you'd have a lot more speed to work with. Because of how fast both of them are, blocking Clowney and Williams would prove difficult even with the double team on Clowney.....Well at least a lot more difficult than blocking Antonio Smith and Mercilus.

Reed's dumb ass made Watt get triple teamed!!! Antonio got blown up and joined up with the Pats to triple team Mercilus and screw up his inside spin move. Terrible D-Line play.

Yeah, a lot of people bagged on Wade Phillips for blitzing all the time, but since this is what happened pretty much every time he didn't send a blitzer, can you really blame him? This team needs another dominant pass rusher and a legit NT in the worst kind of way.
