Obviously, the nba can't have their storied franchises to suck this bad. Call me crazy, but I just think that Adam Silver NEEDS to put the fix in. Does he have the balls to do it, is the question?

In this age where everything is supposedly live, this would be a clear indication that Adam Silver is running things.

Do you agree with this logic?

Making the league less dependent on the lakers is probably in the league's long term interests, especially given the quality of personnel management the lakers are sporting these days.

Both teams have a good shot of having a bottom 5 record and there are 3 guys with very high upside in this draft. The Lakers and Celtics getting 2 of the first 3 picks wouldn't raise any suspicions from me.

No. The NBA is probably better off with their lesser known teams becoming good. All it takes is one dynasty to make a franchise worthwhile.

I am almost certain that one of these two franchises will have the top pick in next years draft...its a forgone conclusion...this is the NBA we are talking about.

Ofcourse not. I want to see the Lakers suffer. Them getting a high npick and rebuilding in 1 year would be terrible.

I do not care if the Celtics get the pcik. I'm sort of hoping the 76ers get the pick.

Since there are no LBJ's and probably no KD's in this draft it would not bother me terribly. Six prospects probably better than anyone in last seasons draft though. But no one who even at their prime can put a franchise on their backs for extended periods of time.

I wouldn't mind if the Celtics got it. The lakers not so much.

Lakers already get enough help from the league.

Just because those franchises have had big success in the past doesnt mean they should be gifted more in the future. It's time for other teams to have some success.

I would think you would want that what....the grizz have been on the verge of being a west powerhouse for a few years now...why would you want another west team to get help to keep them over your Grizz? Seems a stupid suggestion to me.

The entire first 5 picks of the draft should be rigged so they are in the East.

I hope Kobe comes back and pushes the lakers out of the top 6 picks. I could care less about boston.

this is basically how I feel about it.

they both suck right now. they might both tank for ping pong balls and lottery picks.

    don't see the conspiracy.

do i WANT them to land the #1 and #2 pick respectively?

    no.

if anything, I guess I would hope for a scenario like Portland/Seattle where the Lakers would botch the #1 pick completely, on an epic fail San Bowie/Greg Oden type level.

I think the league protects the Knicks more then the Celtics.

    No.

But the most poetic outcome in a perfect world would be the Lakers get the first pick and bungle it with a complete bust.

To answer the question: no, I do not want them to get the 1 and 2 picks. Boston and LA would still be quite viable in a FA market. I think the NBA could benefit a lot from a Philly type team getting the number 1. However, the better players being in major markets obviously benefits the NBA greatly (Durant, WB, and Irving were the only players in a small market in the top 15 in jersey sales last year).

WTF?!?!? HELL NO DO I WANT THE LAKERS TO HAVE A TOP 2 PICK!!!! I want them to remain in insignificance and be a bottom dwellers - period!
As for it 'benefitting the league to have he Lakers and Celtics be good' - NONSENSE! PARITY is the key element to future prosperity in the NBA!
