I will be depressed if he falls all the way to #17 and is drafted by Dallas. Just the thought of him turning out to be a star while wearing one sickens me.
Why would Dallas pick Manziel? They already have a QB who is WAY better than the best Manziel could ever dream of being not to mention that QB is signed through 2019. Why pick a QB in the first round just to have him sit for 6 years?
Which part? I'm pretty sure most people think that it would be ridiculous to pick a QB in the first round only to have him sit till 2020.
Knowing Jerruh, he wants media circus and attention as cameras spend more time on Manziel on the bench than his team giving up 4th qtr leads
Everyone knows Romo won't outlast the length of that contract extension. It could happen. They had Miles Austin that year that they selected Dez Bryant with their first round pick, I know different position, yet still you could have made the argument Austin was their #1 wideout. Plus Jerry Jones is dumb like that.
Well even if he doesn't make it through the entire contract, he'd be there at least another 3 years minimum. Can you imagine the media circus if they had Manziel hold a clipboard for that long? Aggies would be going nuts (more so than usual).
They already have a QB who is WAY better than the best Manziel could ever dream of being not to mention that QB is signed through 2019. That is the part I disagree with, but again that is just my opinion.
Fair enough, time will tell. I'd be fine with the Cowboys wasting their first rounder on a QB to sit for 3 years.
Honestly, I give Romo 2 more years of playoffless failure till people (Jones) finally wise up and figure out they ain't winnin' **** with him at the helm. Then they'll cut him just like they're going to do with Austin this year. But you could definitely see a Tim Tebow type circa forming around Manziel's locker within that 2 to 3 year period.
Unless their cap situation gets better, I think they'd have to keep him for 3 more years no matter what. That would mean Mr. FF would be on the bench till 2017, his fanbase would riot. I think it's more likely the Jags or Browns or some awful team like that picks him up. It only takes one idiot to make him a first rounder.
Very true. Regardless, I don't want Manziel or Bortles on this team. For me it's Bridgewater then Clowney, the other two are flashes in the pan compared to the latter.
