another pg wont get you pass okc or clippers just throwing the ball to harden howard but a a solid big pf or strech 4 can, brings way more options on offense and defense. we can bring dwill in here and I dont see that as a major upgrade. You bring in millsapp for half court sets thats major !
Agree. We don't have a natural PG. Harden and Parsons both have better court and awareness than Lin or Bev. If we had a skilled PG, our turnover ration would be much improved. Someone needs to tutor Lin on maintaining his dribble on his penetrations until he either passes or shoots. He's driving me crazy! Frankly, I really like the PF/C rotation that McHale has been using. While neither Jones or DMo are perfect, they're both young and have been playing at a high level. Besides PG, we need some better options at back-up 2/3. If Cisco can regain his OKC play-off form then that might be enough, but if he doesn't then a 2/3 option that can hit the 3 and play D would be most welcomed.
This trade could be interesting for all teams: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k3ej4zu Rockets gets backup center in Zaza, who is tough. Additionally G.Neal would be great pickup for Rox, who can shoot and provide some leadership from the bench. Besides Rox were interested in him before the season. Pelicans gets great center in Sanders who I think must have new start at new team. He would be doing great next to unibrown. Duo of Davis and Sanders would make strong frontcourt years to come. Butler would bring leadership and tutor for the rest of the group plus expiring contract. Besides T.Evans could move to his original SG position. Bucks gets starting caliber center in Asik and gets rid of trouble makes Sanders and of course G.Neal. Both were unhappy with the system. And of course Bucks gets E.Gordon that they have been interested in. I think Eric has to start from the begining and the Bucks is the right place were great SG's made a leap: Ray Allen, M.Redd. And O.J. moves to 6th man (not a big suprise) or could be moved to other team that is seeking for playoff pushup.
Shump Do people ever think Iman Shumpart played Point for 4 years at Tech? I love the idea of having him share time with both P Bev and Harden. That would give us a good back court and a strong frontcourt with Stoudamire. The starting five would be Beverly/ Shumpart, Harden, Parsons, Stoudimire, Howard
I feel like you are trying so hard not to be a homer, you just allowed Omer to be let go for scrubs. Asik will not be traded for something that doesn't excite Daryl. This wouldn't excite anyone except for the Bucks who get the best two players in the trade (which would both automatically be the best players on that team). All while holding on to their only good asset (Giannis). Larry Sanders is a good player but appears to be a knuckle head and he is paid heavily. His trade value at the moment is probably closer to a DMO swap than Eric Gordon much less EGO + O.
There's rumors that the Knicks want Asik. I posted this previously but Chandler/Shumpert for Asik/Dmo or Amare/Shumpert for Asik, Lin and Dmo could be on the table.
How about trade Francisco Garcia to OKC for a trade exception? http://fansided.com/2014/02/13/nba-trade-rumors-oklahoma-city-thunder-actively-pursuing-trade-scoring-help/
ROX In: Spencer Hawes, Steve Nash, 2 2nd Round pick (from LA) LA In: Jeremy Lin 76ers In: Omer Asik What would the Rox Gain from the trade? * Need a solid PF that can stretch the floor + decent post presence. Hawes is one of the league's most efficient scorer at the PF spot. * A very experienced 17-year vet, giving advices to the youngsters. Can still contribute to the team and will play as a backup PG behind Beverley, since the team (especially the backup spot) is lacking of solid play makers and consistent passer. What would the LA Gain from the trade? * A Promising young PG that has solid off. skills * Asian Market * Reunit with Antonie What would the 76ers Gain from the trade? * Denfensive Anchorman Link: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine
I wonder if we can get Josh Smith in some kind of 3 team deal with Asik and/or Lin, unless for some reason the Pistons would want Lin. Hou: Josh Smith Det: Shawn Marion, Francisco Garcia, 1st rd pick Dal: Omer Asik
Not sure if you watch the nets, but dwill is worse than Lin right now. Tonight for for example 4/14fg, 0/4from 3, 5asst, 6 TO these kind of games are starting to be the usual for him. Kidd had him coming off bench for like 8 games the team actually was playing better. $20mill a year until 2017.
Lol Amare has been playing very well this year and only has one more year left on his deal. He becomes a HUGE expiring contract in time for the LMA/Love free agency.
