You didn't ask for next gen fighting exclusives, you asked if there were any fighting games. Anyway, no I can't fathom there being too much of a difference. I don't think that should matter though if you haven't played the game it looks and plays great.

Agreed. This is definitely one of their characteristics.
In summary a "fanboy", loves everything about a product, defends a product against facts, and likes to call others "fanboy" as the mean to argue against facts.

No matter how much they are against facts, it would not stop the rest of us from posting them.

Here are the Feburary's updated lists of free games available on PSN Plus and xbox live:

Wii U is winning right now with Donkey Kong and the mario cart games. I should have gotten a Wii U to be honest. Oh and Zelda no one talked about that yet?

NPD numbers aren't fully out yet, but we're getting a few trickles of info from January US sales. I think we can now definitively conclude that PS4 demand > XBO demand in the US.

There are some rough approximations on NeoGAF, but I'll wait until later tonight before posting any numbers.

Watch Dogs got pushed back even further

Infamous Second Sons looks very familiar, just a little prettier....

I think developers have hit their creative ceiling during the ps3/xbox 360 era....

those consoles were plenty powerful to do whatever companies wanted..... look at gta5 and skyrim....

Watchdogs is going to be a disaster. It is one of the "never trust a trailer" games. I saw it in action at PAX in a heavily controlled demo and was greatly underwhelmed, and I called it then that it was going to be delayed.

Another game that I think is probably in the same boat, but really, really hope isn't is The Division.

I guess the numbers are fairly accurate at this point. Here's the NeoGAF thread:
    http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=768743
PS4 led the month in sales (for all platforms I believe), nearly doubling the sales of the Xbox One (which was second). Given MS's PR, it seems the XBO sold around 143K (unless NPD made some major revisions to past months). Kind of interesting to see the sales breakdowns of software for PS4 vs XBO as well.

Yeah, I have to wonder if MS is more seriously considering dropping Kinect.

Ouch! Hopefully Titanfall saves Xbox one like how Halo saved the original Xbox.

I think MS will be hoping for better than XB1 numbers. If Titanfall barely helps XBO do as well as the XB1, there will be a lot of panicking at MS (well, the Xbox division anyway).

As I've said earlier in the thread, you'll need more than one game to "save" a platform. Price cut (likely by dropping Kinect) might be their best bet of improving sales.

Though guess they could just be content with selling fewer systems, but creating new business models with their platform.

I wonder if the last point you made is their main focus. They always talked about having an all round entertainment system, and the Xbone is very good for that at the moment and will only get better.

If they are looking at a "bigger picture" where by the Xbone business goes well beyond the games platform and they are selling a heap of digital content through it like movies and music, will they care that they are selling less consoles if the system is making money in so many areas?

Im ready for a new game to come out now, but so are PS4 owners from what Ive read. I think that is one area both systems maybe dropped the ball in. If one or the other had been able to release titles on a regular basis since launch, especially exclusive titles, I think people would have naturally gone after what we all buy these systems for....to play a bunch of games.

I cant wait to see what the reaction to Titanfall is on the whole thing. Ive always been skeptical of the hype, but I keep reading so many personal account of how much fun it is. Hope it really is as good as people say.

It needs backed up through with more games. Both MS and Sony are struggling in that area.

LOL...PS4 boys are making it sound that the PS4 Sold a Million and the XB1 sold 100,000. LOL. You are talking about around 286,000 for the PS4. Again, sprint vs Marathon. The 360 outsold the PS3 in the US for 3 years + straight before this January. There are really no new games for either system, especially the PS4, which has had more games pushed back. As I play the Titanfall beta and the full game next month, I'm going to say "Damn...the PS4 is sell more systems. Although Titanfall is the ****, I should bought a PS4 because it is selling more!";)

Is there really a console war going on between these systems? I haven't pressed the power button on my PS4 since late November. I've been playing my 3DS the last few months. Awesome little system.

Its certainly not what it used to be in my opinion. As I've said before, 95% of the games you can get on both systems. The games all play the same, they all look great, they all offer extra entertainment features...theres a handful of exclusives that might sway you to one or the other...it just comes down to what works best for you really.

The funny thing is that people who "pick a side" probably still play a bunch of games on their mobile devices anyway. I know I still play some mobile games on my ipad from time to time.

Just give me a system or device I can play good games on and I'll be happy.

Oh yeah, so true! Back around 1998 I got a Nintendo64 and my cousin got a Playstation. We would often have heated debates over which was better. The Internet was in its infancy so we did our smack talking over the phone. Turns out he won, I bought a Playstation in 1999. It's amazing to look back how many great exclusives Playstation had. Resident Evil 2, Final Fantasy 7, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, street fighter alpha 3, tekken, Metal Gear Solid are just a few that I enjoyed.

I think with the way technology is going the next time we all look to buy a new "machine" it will be like buying a PC to play PC games. You will be able to buy one of a hundred systems that all get the job done. The games will all be the same on all of them to the point where there might not even different versions to buy. Just the one version that works on everything.

It is almost at that point anyway. The Xbone and PS4 are so close to PC's....buy a game on any three of them and you'd be hard pressed to tell a difference. Once the Steam machine is out, and mobile platforms like the Ipad catch up too, no one is going to care what you are playing a game on. Just play the damn game! LOL

I can assure you no one in the Xbox division at Microsoft is panicking.

Also, Kinect won't be dropped - get that out of your head.

Xbox One has more tricks up it's sleeves yet they'll take the lumps now because it will pay off in the end. One month of sales data means nothing.

    ...except that it kinda does.

Most sales data until now has been useless because supply had not yet met demand. People were just buying consoles as soon as they came out. But now we've reached the point where both are available, and it's really not a good sign for MS that Sony outsold them by double in the US. MS won the last generation handily in the States, while Sony won handily everywhere else. If MS can't at least consistently tie Sony is sales in their best territory, then they're in a spot of trouble.

I'm not saying they can't still turn it around. Titanfall will certainly give them a little bump when it gets released, but probably not as much as many would hope, because it's not like people haven't known it will be coming out. Most people who really want Titanfall probably have the machine already.

Also, I find it funny that you say that "they'll take the lumps now because it will pay off in the end." You make it sound like they're intentionally doing poorly at the beginning so that they can later dramatically pull a rabbit out of their hat and redeem themselves in the eyes of video game players everywhere. The problem with that is that Microsoft is in it to make money, just like everyone else, and I can guarantee that it wasn't in their master plan to get their butts kicked by Sony for any period of time, and most especially at the very beginning. "It will pay off in the end?" Most people who buy one of these systems will stick with it, because even if it breaks in a year, it'll be cheaper to re-buy a system for which they already own expensive games and peripherals than buy the other one for which they own no software or peripherals. MS is losing a lot of these people for the entire generation.

You can spin the situation all you want, it's really no skin off my nose. I haven't bought either system yet. But if they don't get a bigger bump from the Titanfall release than I think they'll get, then MS really needs to start thinking about more drastic measures for moving hardware, even if it means dropping the price to $400 and selling at a loss. They'll ultimately make the money back in software and gold memberships if they can just turn this around and start putting more consoles in living rooms now before Sony beats them to it.

Maybe MS does have some "tricks up their sleeve," but so does Sony. Either way, MS had better pull off a pretty stupendous trick soon.
