He absolutely did not play a good game.

Even his advanced metrics show he played poorly. Despite scoring efficiently he STILL is a net negative on the court because of his ridiculous turnover rate and mediocre defense.

What if I tell you NBA.com shows that he was a net positive in the game?

Looks like he had a great eFG while his TO's were high, but we knew that. The D rating is team based and in particular Lin did not guard Ariza.
And here's a stat. Lin was a +1 and Harden a 0...so Harden must've played poorly also.
Listen, I understand that you've gotten a hair in the wrong place because of over zealous Lin fans but I'm not sure yesterday's game is a good example of an "I told you so"

No question...although we did a good job on the guards, and if Ariza doesn't go berserk, this is an easy win.

A couple of months ago, Wall proclaimed himself as the best pg in the league. lol. John Wall is so overrated and overachieving. He should be glad he plays in the east.

    That's a good point.

Never thought of it like that before.

What did Clyde say that was so bad?

LOL at Beverley the assistant coach at the end.

Howard is such a presence in the paint. He really opens things up for the perimeter guys to drive and penetrate.

For saying he loves to see Lin drive to the basket? Or that Lin was faster than Wall at Draft Combine? Idiot how?:confused::confused:

If he was shooting terribly, you'd have a platform to stand on about him not playing a good game. If he'd shot well and had few turnovers, he would've had a "great" game. As it is, he shot well and had alot of turnovers, so indeed only had a "good" game. Yet you persist in using your empty statistics to detract his needed contribution to the team.

I guess in your world you'd rather Lin have not played at all because of his supposed net negative and the Rockets lose without the 16 pts and 5 assists he contributed. Way to support the team.

Funny, watch Howard in just about every opportunity in the backcourt, he never gives the ball to Jeremy...even on an in-bounds LOL!!

The ORTG and The DRTG computed by basketball-reference are very suspect. They rank Beverley as better at offense than and Lin and Beverley almost equal on defense last time I looked. That's because the offensive and defensive ratings are not truly player specific. It is the rating of the whole team that is on the floor at the time a specific player is on. All stat people that comment on these ratings say that they are totally miss leading.

john wall has a reputation to shark those passes, it was in my guess in the pre game scouting report so Dwight was being cautious

Many books written by basketball coaches do considera missed shot as a turnover if the opposingb team gets the rebound, and indeed it is.

Is getting a shot off the same as a missed shot? Is making a risky pass the same as a TO?

No doubt but if you look at the boxscore and see someone chucking just for the sake of shooting, the net effect is the same as a turnover. Lin was EXTREMELY efficient shooting and poor with turnovers. Wall was EXTREMELY efficient with turnovers and poor with shooting.
