Where are all those people who said that Asik was as good as Dwight?

That's not Ömer Asik out there, it's his twin brother Rüsty Asik.

I think theyve gotten so used to dwight that they forgot that Omer is not making that play rusty or not.

They would have thrown that if Steve Nash was playing C.

I don't think anybody said Asik was as good as Howard on OFFENSE. On defense and rebounding, he's arguably on the same level as Howard.

Close on D. But I don't see him winning DPOY soon.

Its not like he was finishing off such plays last year. In fact last year that pass would of never been made cause Asik can't handle it. Whoever passed him the ball assumed Howard was who he was passing to.

Omer Asik is part of the reason the Rockets were throwing hot garbage alley oops to Howard to start the season. They were used to passing the ball to Asik which means no bounce passes and no high passes above the head. He needs passes that go right into his stomach so that he can fumble it and still have a chance to gather it even if it gets past his hands. If he played football he would be a Jacoby Jones type reciever that lets the ball get into his body and pads rather than a hands catcher that can pluck it right out of the air. Anything higher than chest level or lower than stomach level is pretty much a turnover more often than not. This play was just par for the course. Nothing to see here. In fact I say this is more of a mistake by Harden for not knowing his personnel.

I'm going to enjoy Asik's reaction when Morey doesn't trade his sorry ass. I'd rather keep him and hope he develops into a reasonable backup to Dwight.
