Why are you trying to put down Pat or Dwight now? Seriously, enjoy the hard fought win.

look at the thread... most LOFs dont say anything... when someone talks about the turnovers... as a team... because the team did do a lot of turnovers

and Lin did add 5 of them

but when you have people single out just Lins turnovers?

and not the others..then you have the LOFs piping in....

like I said its one thing to talk about a turnover as it happens in a game thread

another thing to single out Lin alone....and talk about it in a post game thread without bringing up the other players who turned over the ball as well...

Lin had a bad TO night, but a good shooting night and contained Wall. That's average to me.

The bigger takeaway from this game is how the team is going to score in crunch time. Is anything going to work better than Harden Iso? I do like the last 2 inbound plays though. Much better than last time.

Most of the league would kill to hold Wall to that amount of fg% production this season.
14 assists is another matter, but a good amount of those were to outside shooters like Ariza (who went on a epic streak, despite often being contested) and Beal.
Good defense overall and high efficiency on offense, though turnovers for Lin.

Wow. Waking up in the morning to people ranting on Lin's TOs.

This whole let's pile on Lin thing is super weird. He's getting superstar treatment lol from the haters and the lovers.

Anyway, thought he played a solid game. His 4th quarter TOs were not so good, but if you guys listen to Morey, TO is not as bad as it looks.

Can we talk about how much of a beast Harden is instead? And if Harden can just frigging become an average defender, I think we got a top 5 player at any position.

Id rather not be talking about JUST Lins turnovers... just like we havent really talked about Hardens 4+ turnover games all year...

Just play as a team, win or lose as a team, as long as the players understand that the team will go far, and it is the coach who need to make sure everyone is on board with this simplest idea. Jordan cannot win championships until he realized this.

He did not have a "solid" game.

He made a bunch of really bone headed mistakes and for a supporting role guy who is supposed to pick his spots and be efficient 3rd-4th option he turned the ball over way to much. Comparing the turnover numbers to Harden and Howard is stupid because they are our workhorses and the recipients of the defensive attention as primary options. This is just another illustration of why Beverley is a better fit alongside our stars.

The problem is these were stupid careless mistakes, the same stuff that happens every game. Dribble into traffic, pick up the ball (or jump) and then turn the ball over. And the icing on the cake was his touchdown pass to Jones covered by three Wizards which was dumb dumb dumb.

Sometimes members just want to mention a particular player's play during a game. A particular player. Doesn't mean he/she doesn't have an opinion, positive or negative, about any other player on the team. It also doesn't mean someone "hates" a particular player. They are just making a comment. The incredible sensitivity towards any criticism of Jeremy Lin by some of his fans, and I'm one of those fans, goes beyond the absurd and far too often derails good discussion, and spurs just the sort of comments the goofus was complaining about in the first place. And the idea that one can't make a comment about a particular player without mentioning everyone else is something I find personally offensive. In other words, give us all a break and consider the team, not just the player. Thanks in advance.

I didn't read the whole game thread or postgame thread, but the last few pages had the following posts:

None of those are accurate. All of Lin's turnovers(and one of Harden's) last night were the result of either poor decision making or execution by Jeremy.

It's perfectly reasonable to point out if Lin was singled out for his turnovers. It's not reasonable to blame Jeremy's turnovers last night on anyone else.

BTW, Dwight's turnovers were also bad, overall worse than Lin's.

He had five TO on postups, one pass thrown right to the other team, and an offensive goal tending. The only one that might be excusable is the goaltend.

As for Harden, as far as I'm concerned, he should have only had 3 TO, all driving to the basket.

3-6 from 3...5-8 overall and 5 assists. At least 2 of his turnovers were mis-communications with teammates...so yes he DID have a solid game.
And let me understand, these are only stupid, careless mistakes if Lin makes them????

ummm supporting role guys are suppose to make the mistakes...

but then you can just trade them away or let their contracts expire...

because they are not part of your long term plans...like Lin and Asik

in another forum you called Lin a Gimmick signing... now you expect him to play better than the allstars on the team...

your max players, number 1 and 2 options... and all stars.... on the other hand... no one seems to be talking about Hardens 4 turnovers or Howards 7

who will be your scapegoat when Lin is gone in a year?

The Wizards are even blaming Jeremy for their loss!

That's all they talked about in the postgame was how they couldn't believe Lin had that many turnovers. Ariza said that was the key to keeping them in the game, not his 3-point shooting.

After re watching it Ariza put both hands on Harden, Harden did sell but it was a foul and it happened before all the other fouls. Ariza tried to get away with a foul and James flopped so it was called correctly.
