I hope not. I've probably seen that movie a 100 times (like forrest gump), and till this day it still looks like it could have came out just yesterday.

It's that damn good. Animatronics (sp?) > CGI

Couldn't be since Dredd and The Raid were in production at the same time. Purely coinicidental they had similar stories.

I don't mean a literal remake, just an american version of The Raid. They both had the same concept, however, the American version had Dredd as the main character since Dredd 3D was not really a remake of the Stallon Judge Dredd.

Whaaaaaat? I thought Dredd was pretty damn good, and I don't normally like action movies.

Jurassic World is going to be a sequel, not a remake.

Probably fair to call it a re-boot though, since I don't think any of the cast will be returning.

Sucks we can't get anything original.

Inception is about as good as it gets when it comes to blockbusters now a days.

I pretty much knew this would suck when I saw in the commercial they keep one of Murphy's real hands and it becomes a plot point. In the original there is a scene when they are building Robocop and one of the techs tell the executive that they saved an arm. The executive takes a look at it and says "lose the arm." Right there sums up the difference. In the original that is a bit of dark humor that shows how callous the OCP exec is while also making the point that Robocop isn't a "he" but a machine and property of OCP to do with as they want. In the new one they save his hand to basically club the viewer over the head that under that armor is still a man and also as an unsubtle prop for Murphy to discover his lost humanity. It's basically unnecessary when we know that there is man under the armor and if you are making a super cop there is no reason to keep a human hand.

I liked the Total Recall remake. The new one and original don't even seem like the same movie. Of course, any movie with Richard Dawson is definitive cinematic gold.

    Totally agree.
I have not seen the new one but that plot point sticks out to me.

Uggggghhhh...I lost my mind. Getting Running Man and Total Recall mixed up. I blame being married with children for my momentary lapse of reason. :)

Surprised they haven't remade Running Man yet.

Glad he caught that for you. I tried watching Total Recall twice and knocked the fugg out during both attempts.

    That movie sucked.

You were banned for like a year for being a douche to other posters, it's good to see you haven't changed a bit.

I hope you're not this negative in real life.
