And if it's a contract year. Ariza is shooting 8% better than his career avg or something on 3s, just the same as him erupting in the playoffs with the Lakers in a contract year.

Dude knows how to ball when it's time to get paid.

Morey's a genius. Years later, this signing pans out...

Boy I hope Trev's performance tonight does not influence the Rockets to sign him a the 3rd star. A Garcia type deal...in a second, but not instead of re-signing ChanP for example.

BTW, I decided to blame whoever started this tread for Trev's O explosion. :)

Parsons was "guarding" him in the first half and he was making wide open threes with no one in sight.

He made 7 in the third, at least 5 of which were with Harden supposedly guarding him.

From potential hero for the Wizards (sticking it to his old team) to GOAT, fouling out and giving the game away. Thanks! We appreciate your contribution to the Rockets seventh win in a row.

I would have liked Ariza so much more if he wasn't forced into trying to be a first option. Dude's great as a fourth option, 3 and D sort of guy. He was just asked to shoulder too much of the load in Houston.

IMO he wasn't that bad when he played that one year for us. However, Ariza did come in with a big head after just helping the Laker that last(?) championship. He tried to be Kobe-lite and just did not have the talent to be the top banana. Other than that, he did OK.

I think it is clear we need better role players, especially in a position against Durant, Lebron and Paul George. Right now, we only have Parsons against those guys and the dude has regressed defensively, probably because of too many minutes. Garcia is pretty much useless this year.

Would love to have Ariza back.

It was hilarious whenever Traveler Ariza tried to dribble the basketball.

He's a great complimentary player on a championship caliber team, and he has the rings to prove it. When he came to Houston the Rockets needed offense so he was doing things he wasn't used to doing. Then all of a sudden he became a scrub in the fans' eyes. We have the pieces now that he would fit perfectly on this team.
