No Bev made this game a lot tougher.

He is the one that brings the energy, we have to somehow find the energy tonight or we will lose

Lin has always matched up well against Wall. An ultra-fast guard with a clear physical advantage over Bev... Rather take Lin in defensively. Problem is that there is no backup defenders on Wall.

I'm expecting a career high smh, I believe in Lin shutting down wall, but harden matched up with a top 15 sg is really gonna expose perhaps our greatest weakness... The sg position smh

If we don't have more energy than a team on the second game of a b2b, something is wrong. Bev or no Bev.

Hopefully Lin doesn't back down from his recent aggression, and continues to be decisive with the ball.

The Wizards have a tremendous backcourt. If we can have Bev guard Wall and just hassle him all night and then have the lengthy Parsons on Beal, we should be in good stead. We should be able to match them for sure on the offensive end, just need our defense to pick up for the win.

I assume the reason why everyone keeps talking about Lin's confidence/aggression is because - in his case - it's the difference between being average and being an all-star. In general, Lin tends to be more assertive when Bev is out (making him a starter), or if Harden is out (making him the primary ball handler).

Lin started a lot of games during Bev's injuries. You can see it. Being decent off the bench just shows his versatility.

I just watched the segment on Wizards network comparing Rockets D-league system vs Wizards system. Man, our D-league team is so money. We can develop players and actually show off our players that we want to trade by hiring our own coaches and running our system.

Definitely tends to be more assertive when Harden is out. Not so much when Beverley is out. I think he is clearly trying to do something different for those two roles, and he has the Harden role down pretty well. No suprise there, considering the oft-mentioned overlap.

Bev is going to be a huge miss. Lin just doesn't have what Bev has. Thankfully it's just the Wiz.

    :rolleyes:this thread.

Dwight was eating their bigs alive in the first game. Even managed to throw some kid's shots back at him. I say as long as he stays dominant then our guards can just be solid.
