Consistent that I feel the Texans have a better shot finding their QB early compared to late. Statistics say that you have a better chance finding your guy in round one then in round 2/3/4/5/6.

The Texans biggest need is at QB. The Seahawks are an anomaly defensively. Besides Earl Thomas and Bruce Irvin, that squad is basically undrafted or after round 4?

You're still under the illusion that QB's "win games" it seems. I'm not looking for some amazing QB to come in and set the world on fire, it's not realistic. I'm looking to build up a freak defense because that's the Texans' best chance at winning a SB in the next 5-10 years.

    I agree.

Just look at Seattle. Freak defense + game manager qb + amazing run game. Hope Arian isn't done...

This team does not have a competent QB capable of leading a team with a great defense.

QB's do win games. Who is consistently in the playoffs every year? Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady. They are there almost every year.

That freak defense is even harder to find than the QB that wins games.

Game managers throw for 52 tds in 2 years??? Oh and has more career tds and fewer ints than your BFF Andrew Luck.

His defense limits his passing by creating and keeping leads... Just look at how few passes Wilson attempted this year. Very low

People really do give too little credit to russell wilson. He has made throws through out the year that only upper echelon to elite qbs make and has made the most of the limited passing attempts.

Don't blame him because Carroll plays it close to the vest with a ground and pound clock control approach.

People said the same thing when he won his first couple rings

I don't get the Wilson bashing at all. People around here are ridiculous.

A QB "that wins games" isn't something that exists, so I'd say that a freak defense is MUCH easier to find. A competent QB isn't hard to find either, if the Seahawks had the defense they had this year two years ago, they'd have made the playoffs with Tavaris Jackson at QB. When you have a great defense, it doesn't take much.

Sure, it can happen. No starting QB who didn't miss a significant amount of playing time that isn't a game manager throws only 800 times in 2 years.

It's pretty much the same with Bridgewater, you have some people make ridiculous statements overrating them then when someone corrects them with a dose of reality it gets seen as "bashing" SMH.

So Wilson threw for more tds with less attempts and in your eyes Luck is much better than Wilson??? Makes no sense. If Luck would have won the Super Bowl he would have been the greatest thing since sliced bread. Russell is the truth so give the dude his props.

Being the QB on a SB winning team does not make a QB great or even good. There is probably a dozen QB's in the NFL that could have won the SB if they happened to be the QB on the Seahawks last year. Hell, I'd argue that there are probably 30 or 40 QB's that would have been good enough for the Seahawks to have won the actual SB with if they got the same level of performance from the defense and special teams.

Russell Wilson is a good game manager, he protects the ball well, hands the ball off and occasionally makes a good pass and can even get some yards on the ground but make no mistake, he'd be nothing without that defense and special teams.

with logic like "Russell is the truth", I cannot engage you in discussion. no logic

If you thought anything but Seattle's defense won them that game, you don't know football

You could just respond back with the same type of comment by saying "Russell Wilson is a lie"

I mean it's ridiculous first Average Joe's team wins the SB, now Wilson and people still think that you need a great QB to win the SB.....SMH.

Yep you keep living your pipe dream that Luck is so great while Russ keeps throwing for more tds, less turnovers, and win multiple super bowls

We'll find out soon enough, the Seahawks are going to fall apart fairly quickly because of the cap and the team will have to take the training wheels off of Wilson and give him a big boy workload if they can't sustain the level of defense they had the last 2 years.

Also, I never said he was "trash", in fact I said exactly the opposite, he's a good game manager.

Just so we're clear then, Joe Namath, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, France Tarkenton, Johnny Unitas, and Joe Montana are all "just game managers" given their massive collective number of sub-400 attempt seasons?

So you thought Big Ben was a game manager too?

They played in a completely different era and Joe Montana never played 16 games in any season so he doesn't really count now does he? Hey Terry Bradshaw is a HOFer and he only had a 51.9% completion percentage, that must mean that's good right?

Look around the league only 3 QB's threw the ball under 500 times that played all 16 games, Geno Smith, Kap, and Wilson. Wilson threw it less than anyone.
