Other stars of the ACB League in Spain to make the jump to the NBA performed as follows in their respective rookie seasons:

    Manu Ginobili
    7.6 ppg, 2.0 apg, 1.4 stls in a paltry 20.7 mpg

    Luis Scola
10.3 ppg, 6.4 rpg in only 24.7 mpg

Juan Carlos Navarro (in 2007-08, his only season in the NBA)
    10.9 ppg, 2.2 apg, 1.9 3s in 25.8 mpg

    Marc Gasol
    11.9 ppg, 7.4 rpg in 30.7 mpg

I think Llull could be capable of a Ginobili/Navarro-level rookie performance. Possibly even better. That would be fine by me.

Where will SL play, the 1 or the 2?

What would his value be if marketed for trade?

How old is he, and other 'vitals'?

If he ever comes over (which is a huge "if"), Sergio Llull (who is now 26 years old) would likely be a third rotation guard, able to come off the bench and play good minutes at either guard spot. He's a pretty good shooter, a pretty good defensive player, and he loves to push the tempo.

If another team was confident that he'd come over, I suppose Llull's draft rights could net you a decent second round pick on their own or (more likely) act as a sweetener in a trade in lieu of the Rockets providing a (good) second round pick. I doubt any team would give up a first round pick for him, even though his talent level is equivalent to that of a mid- to late first rounder, IMO.

Marc Gasol, although I guess that's more retroactive and he wasn't very good back then.

Thanks. Navarro and Fernandez are two (Spaniards, yes?) who did not have good experiences playing in NBA. I wonder what effect that has on Llull's decisioning. Would he be more likely to be receptive to wherever Pau ends up in the summer?
