Yeah, not sure how Tdub came to that from watching that one scene. Her bf is having a nervous breakdown and questioning the purpose of the apocalypse. Unless they hashed that out in previous episodes, or somewhere in the comics, I don't see how the viewers can get to that conclusion. If they did mention it in previous episodes, they sure did a terrible job of telling that story.
Did you know that cable shows can show pretty much anything they want, even nudity and cursing like HBO but they don't because they still have advertisers to cater too? Walking dead would be the best show ever on HBO. Even better than G.O.T.
Let me get this straight. You think GOT is a better show because of the language and nudity???? By definition, Spartacus would be a better show than TWD....Oh wait, it is. GOT is a great show because it is based on a very detailed volume of books written by a fantastic author who refused to let the studios piss all over his work. TWD is quite the opposite. An outline handed to a bunch of monkeys who's only goal is to squeeze every dollar out of the show as possible.
The show loses it for me whenever one character kills 20 zeds, and it's happened at least twice now. If the Zeds aren't a threat, the show is boring. +10 Katana of slaying, indeed.
This...I have stopped watching walking dead, and it would be better on HBO. But it would also be alot better with better writers and character development. I cared way more for the characters in the walking dead videogame than any on the show. Playing the videogame and seeing how well crafted the story was is part of the reason I gave up on the tv show.
This is my point. The graphic novels are great and to just decide to follow the typical TV format was enough for me to say **** off mid way through the third season. I remember seeing the Prison at the end of season 2 and thinking how excited I was about it being a fan of the books and then they **** on me and don't come up with a reasonable plot as an excuse. It's a show for suckers now that can bring in ad dollars.
Not just that scene.. I can't recall where specifically, but Michonne dropped a couple of comments one could find vague until the context of the kitchen table scene were added. Something along the lines of him not being a monster but doing a monstrous thing.
Are you talking about the book or the episode? I dont see how you can assume that is what happen with michone and the guys.
That still goes to my point of the show doing a bad job of hashing out Michonne's past. I'll take your word for it that they've dropped these bread crumbs, but to your average viewer, these clues were ignored or disregarded and forgotten. They should have flashed back to those lines where she mentioned it, and then people can piece it together.
The episode. After the outbreak, they grew resentful of each other until someone or both finally snapped. They didn't explicitly spell out that they murdered her son, but the context is through out the whole episode. The two guys felt "this isn't life" and argued the merits of allowing the baby to be raised in such a world. Then she went on to reference the two as "animals". If they somehow became zombies and THEN killed her baby or zombies somehow reached her child first, why would she have this much resentment towards them??? She argued that they could survive in this world, and they cut the argument short by pulling the rip cord. Edit: Keep in mind the possibility of any wrinkles being ironed out in the upcoming episodes. They could just not be showing their full hand just yet and I could be absolutely wrong, but I really don't believe so.
Another Walking Dead episode where absolutely nothing happens. That makes about half of all episodes of that show where nothing happens. I guess there is no incentive for the makers of the show to actually have something happen since the audience loves the show, but it would be a lot more interesting if they actually progressed the plot (or if they had a plot). I am done with this show.
*shudders* Don't remind me of season 2! Remember when Carl got shot with a hunting rifle? They really glossed right over that... The first two episodes of season 1 were fantastic (the rest sucked), season 2 sucked (but I thought it was hilarious so I was enjoying it), season 3 fooled me and was really good for the first 8-9 episodes then went into the toilet. Season 4 has been the worst so far. I think season 3 ruined the show for me because I started to expect a good show and not just unintentional comedy.
And when I say I am done with the show, I put my chances at watching the next episode at 50/50. Why can't I quit you, Walking Dead?!
