Hey dummy, was his "gameplay" to bench Harden in the 4th quarter all along? Because if it wasn't, it sure seems the he changed his "gameplay" during that game huh? It took you all of 3 sentences to contradict yourself...

For people complaining about Harden playing too much: what is the correct amount of time? I have a feeling that people are internally debating a difference of maybe 3 minutes total. Easily a couple minutes per game can be eaten up by no dead balls on the floor (thereby extending the people on the court's PT and reducing the people on the bench's PT).

I have a feeling this is like people who complain about there not being enough taxes or people paying their fair share - as soon as you ask them exactly how much is enough (a number value), they don't offer anything definitive and shy away from offering their opinion, but they somehow know for a fact "it should be more". In this case, I have a feeling the answer is "it should be less". Can't fix stupid.

 

This folks is a case of someone that chose the one stat that could possibly support a dumb argument. He made it anyway. We give him that credit. However, the argument is still dumb.

Looks like McHale was trying to run plays, but no one was really interested in following them.

Someone's anecdotal account of the game live was posted somewhere in Clutchfans stating apparently that McHale was trying to run 'Horns', but it didn't happened. He shouted at Lin, and Lin shouted back that he was trying do so, what with Harden going all iso; McHale then blasted at Harden, who simply shrugged and walked away.

Or, so it goes.

 

You're totally right - all those timeouts when the coaches were stomping on the court and yelling angrily at guys as they went to the bench were actually them saying "good job for following the scouting report." I'm sure we can get a hot mic to pick up someone on the staff lauding James's ability to give the Clippers the shots we wanted them to take. I can't imagine any coaches who actually want their 2 guard to chase guys around screens... I mean these guys are in the NBA, it's not like 2 guards can catch-and-shoot at that level, right?

 

I believe that.

It wasn't just Harden orchestrating dozens of scoring opportunities for the Clippers with his matador D and Rockets point shaving techniques.

It was McHale and Lin trying to execute a specific game plan to beat the Clippers and Harden simply ignoring all of it.

 

McHale and Morey are plotting against Harden.
