    The Mighty Quinn-
Denzel Washington as police chief of unnamed Caribbean Island. Great reggae soundtrack, incredible cinematography, great story.

    Local Hero-

Understated, funny movie about a small scottish town's reaction to a proposed oil refinery. Houston connection.

    Out of Sight-

My favorite Soderbergh movie. Based on Elmore Leonard story. Just rewatched it this weekend.

    Love this movie so much.

Another one I'd add is Waking Ned Devine. Cute story about a little Irish village that bands together to claim the lotto winnings of the ticket-holder who died before he could claim it (signed ticket).

Jackie Brown is really great. It's one of those that gets better with each watch. Highly encourage anyone that was initially let down by it to give it another shot.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that a bunch of people haven't seen Memento. Great movie. One of Christopher Nolan's first features.

One of the best movies I've seen in a theater. Caught a past midnight showing where there was only one other couple in the entire place.

    Genuinely LOLed.

    Also: 12 Monkeys.

I'm sure many here have seen it, but when I encounter someone who hasn't it seems crazy to me.

I've seen every single movie listed in this thread, including George Costanza's secret foreign movie. ;)

I nominate Im Juli [In July] (2000). Great European road movie with a romantic story-line.
