Per play-by-play stat: Rockets gave up 18 points in 11 minute Asik was on the court

We can contend THIS YEAR with an engaged Asik. The question is if we can get him to commit to our team (at least for this year).

 

It say a lot since he hasn't been been playing for what seems like 2 months to step in and have an impact regardless of the competition.

 

As I said in the game thread, the bench won the game. The +/- of the bench was DMo (13), Lin (9), Asik (9) and Casspi (8). Of the starters only Beverley and Harden were on + (3 each). Asik is a very important player for the Rockets. If he is traded, the team needs somebody else to replace his function. The team has its scorers. To win, the unit must score more than the opponent. That's what the bench did.

We were 38-47 on rebounds. Would have lost the game without Asik's five against the Bucks' bigs even though he played only 10 minutes.

Small sample size but he definitely is what we need to get higher seeding for the playoffs.

 

I still think Morey is bluffing and that Assik is gone by the deadline (11 days away, tick, tick, tick), but ya never know.

 

He looked terrible out there...and did anyone else see the 'bump' into Howard as he was replaced? Dude is already gone mentally & in my opinion needs to be gone physically from our team.

 

Really,I did not watched the game but he was a +9 in 11 minutes with 5 rebounds.

 

This thread is based on an 11 minute sample against the Bucks, they haven't beaten a winning team this season...

 

either you didn't watch the game or you just hate him. 5 rebounds, 2 assists in 11 minutes, set some picks etc. He was always active. What did you expect?
He will only get better.
