If anything, this thread has allowed me to further expand my ignore list. It would be funny if this thread was made to purposely provoke LoF's so Clutch can easily figure out who to ban later on.

Uhmmm I played power forward at a collegiate level, so yes I'm aware of how physical basketball can be. I think lin over exaggerates "injuries" at times and shouldn't it makes him look soft

The guy bleeds at least once a game a week last season and you still accuse him of exaggerating.

What injuries is he over exaggerating?

You're entitled to your opinion, but you're wrong

Chandler Bang's Three Point Contest, or maybe you're talking about the Black Top Contest.

Rockets tryouts. You can shoot the 3? We'd love to have you.

Why some of us like to label others? I could never figured this one out. I guess it may give some people the sense of superiority? The world is not always like black and white. People may disagree with you on sth and agree with you on sth else.

I am a Lin fan cause I like his story, he is also a nice person, and he has some unique basketball skills. I am also a fan of PB as I really enjoy his hustles, energy and swagger. I like CP's intangibles and I also like JH's game as long as he puts efforts on defense and try to move the ball more. And I enjoy DH but I also wish he can be mentally stronger and improve his free throw. Above all, I have been a Rocekts fan for many yrs and I will always support the players and coaches but I will also offer some of my constructive criticisms. I was labeled by some on CF as LOF multiple times as I disagree with them how Lin should be used and if he should be starting. I also disagree that Lin is not worse than Lowry and Dragic if you look at their stage of development.

So why can't we get along? We should respect others' opinions even if you strongly disagree with . Showing respect while disagreeing is not a sign of weakness. The opposite is true. So stop labeling others already because it won't strengthen your argument and it only makes your argument less convincing!

It's never gonna happen, if all fans that posts on CF are *from* Houston , then it might just work.

Better question why does this thread have to come back to the first page AFTER EVERY GAME?

I'm not sure i agree with this , but based on how we have been playing recently I'm definitely ok with it. I think our starting 5 with the highest potential includes Lin. Lin's main issue is consistency, and i understand that Mchale really doesn't want that from his starters. The decision comes down to potential versus consistent play and play style. I felt that McHale made the choice a little too early for my liking and didn't give Jeremy enough time to become comfortable with the starters/ see if he could become more consistent. At this point however, there isn't enough time left in the season for a role change and he plays Lin enough off the bench. So i am ok with it.

    It's sad.

The thing is, this thread is SILENT when Jeremy has a mediocre game, but the minute his fanclub sees that he went over the 10 point mark, this is the hottest thread around.

Every legitimate ROCKETS fan is happy when Lin has a good game, just like they are happy when ANY Rocket has a great game.

The difference is that the JL Fan Club feels like a decent showing from Jeremy is some sort of redemption to Rockets fans, the coaching staff, or in the case of this thread, the OP, Clutch.

Jeremy has been playing well starting and off of the bench lately. However, his level of play has NEVER been consistent in Houston and for that reason, the fan club uses good games as ammunition to what most of us already know.

Jeremy Lin is NOT Linsanity. He is a young point guard that is still developing, but he may never be the player that his fan club WANTS him to be.

We all want him to be successful so that the Rockets win, but no single player is alike. Jeremy Lin COULD be like a Steve Nash, or he may simply have peaked already. It happens, but regardless, for now he is a Rocket and we support him.

The kicker is that most of us will always support the Rockets before we ever support one player.

^^^^^ He's turning 26 this year. So if they keep him past the trade deadline and he doesn't perform in the PlayOffs, they gotta to try to ship in the off season. This is not a league where you keep a Stockton & Malone together just because they are fan favorites, it's either produce or we want to head a new direction. It's a Daryl Morey kinda team so nobody is really safe.

I don't think 'redemption' means what you think it means...

Good win. We kinda half-assed it which I don't like but I'll take the "W."

GREAT PG play today. Jeremy is perfect in the 6th man role, our bench would be a total joke without him. I'm really hoping to get an upgrade over Garcia/Casspi at the trade deadline.

Good to see Omer out there, even if it is just for a showcase. Gotta get him in shape.

Harden with kind of a "meh" game, shot horribly from three but played fantastic in transition and didn't seem to be forcing anything.

Jone with his worst game of the year, was just invisible. Guess it's better than him going like 0-10 or something.

Saved the best for last here, DWIGHT HOWARD is amazing. I'm most impressed with his free throws, his alteration of his routine has really helped him a lot, I hope he keeps it up.

Now let's get these last two before the all star break!

I thought it was statistically proven that he IS consistent this season from another thread?

You really think so? I thought Clutch is basically just being honest about his own opinion and hold on to it from the day Lin landed in Houston... This is nothing wrong or right even some of you think it is not so appropriate.

Baiting LOFs in order to ban them as his intention? Come on, if I were Clutch and getting rid of LOFs was really my intention, I'd just take one more step by adding a question in the registration form: Are you here to root for Lin only or for the Rockets? Never approve their registration if the answer is the former

But then which site owner with a clear mind would do such things to drive away traffic just because some internet fanatics are here to show their relentless support to one of their favorite players? :p

What was proven was that Lin was as consistent as Parsons. Harden and Howard are on a league of their own. Lin and Parsons were a step lower. The rest of the team were scattered on the bottom.

One of the biggest implications of the consistency thread that no one wanted to discuss was, the value of Parsons. CF over values Parsons to the point of calling him "untradeable". The "numbers" show otherwise. Parsons has inflated stats due to long playing time. His actual market value should be the same as Lin.

Not much to ascertain, as you said you were a Spurs fan only following the Rockets for Lin when you first joined. Nothing wrong with that... just genuinely curious as to who you root for when we play SAS. This is definitely not a trick question lol.
