I know it's been beat to death, but where are the lower bowl folks?

Only on the end/corner seats and even then it's if you can get by the ushers. You can't make it to the center court sections bc they are all club seats and you need a ticket just to get into the club entrance that opens to those sections. Many other stadiums aren't like that so I think that's why we always look so empty on TV.

I have been a season ticket package holder for over a decade and the crowd is always good in end/corner lower sections and most empty seats do get filled by people from upstairs by halftime.

My guess is that nobody who has access to those tickets lives close enough to downtown to bother coming to the game.

It's all big energy companies buying up the tickets, whose employees are mostly conservative guys with families living out in the 'burbs. Which in this town means 30 miles away.

    BS.

I sat in club level for about 15-20 times last season and no one told me to be quit when I cheered. Do I stand up for 10 minutes at a time no but I stand up for big plays. When it was a close game in the closing seconds 80% of the fans in club were standing up and cheering.

Some people in the lower bowl dont tell you to sit down. I went to the Bobcats game opening night and stood up mostly the whole game and didnt have problems. I was a red rowdy last season and the year before and only 1 person out of those 2 season tried to tell us to sit down. LOL

I bought the 4 pack stretch run (thunder, spurs, wolves and blazers) in the 400 section, so you better believe im going to cheer loud and stand up. and if you not down with that, then I got 2 words for you!

    SUCK IT!

I understand when guys want to sit up on a big play or when everyone standing and the game is close in the 4th. But blocking someones view who payed money to see the game"just because" is not cool. Nowhere in the nba do people stand up the whole game.

I dont stand up the whole game like I did when I was a rowdy. Just when something great happens in the game like a key three or a sick dunk or when we go on a run and the opposing team calls a timeout. I dont see how thats a problem. Now if I was standing up the WHOLE game then ya I would understand and probably apologize and sit down.

The people always walking in and out of the aisle are the worst. Can't see crap when ever they get up in the middle of something important.

Went to the suns game and sat in the lower bowl, it was not very loud.

However midway through the 3rd qtr we moved down to about 10 rows behind the basket and it was like a totally different place. It was louder, there was a different energy down there. I would imagine its electric one playoff time, especially for the players.

If we made a petition with a couple thousand signatures would it get Les' attention?

Howard was being interviewed on CSN after the last game about how they had a 5 of 6 home game streak, and he made reference to the home court advantage and then rolled his eyes like this:

    Just watching highlights on ESPN.

    Jazz @ Mavs.

Lots of empty seats in the lower bowl in all the highlights.

    Just saying.

Your numbers are off in the upper bowl. It makes me mad when people get these numbers wrong. Do you even know $30 times 44 equal $1320

When did "uppers" top out at $30? I was paying $44 in 2006 = $1936 for seasons. That's what I paid. Granted, they were the best uppers. But they sucked compared to the Compaq center for the same price. My Compaq seats views were equivalent to the first row of seats in the first level of Luxury Boxes in TC.

I'm telling you, Rockets season tickets are vastly (like twice as much) more than both the Texans and Astros at equal seating.

That chart is average being skewed by many factors. Fact is: the lower bowl sideline club tickets for the Rockets is Top 5 in the NBA. Those are the seats the OP is talking about.

You are propagating misinformation if you actually believe the Rockets are not one of highest tickets in the league, in the lower bowl.
