    These lyrics come to mind.

My choice is what I choose to do
And if I'm causing no harm it shouldn't bother you
Your choice is who you choose to be
And if your causin' no harm then you're alright with me

Some people can only elevate themselves by bringing others down.

My kind of thread. I love costume making! It's really a shame that I'm not into anime & all that stuff just for the conventions & costume making opportunities. Although, I'd totally go to one of those and dress up as a Nickelodeon character- Helga Pataki, Patti Mayonnaise..

What may work for both the shirt and pants would be black medical scrubs. Cut the top accordingly. Scrubs can be pretty cheap too.

Or look for the black Hanes sweatpants at Wal-Mart. They're the ones that are baggy just about everywhere but at the ankles. Not flattering at all for figure, but my favorite pants to wear.

Also, check out wal-mart for their shoes. Always cheap, and I feel like they would carry something similar to what you're looking for.

Cheapest option for the 2 thin belts at Goodwill or another thrift store- most likely in women's section. If they don't have them in white- spray paint them!

    Good luck!

The thing is with anime cosplay, though, is that the costumes, usually, try to pass themselves as cool and fashionable. They're not like Western comic costumes where the characters actually wear their costumes as costumes. Take this for example:

If I ever saw this guy walking down the street, I'd wonder whether or not he's cosplaying or just downright edgy.

You'd probably be better asking this question on an anime or cosplay forum, wouldn't expect clutchfans to be the most understanding of this hobby :p The shoes look like pretty basic kung fu style shoes, and running a google search on kung fu shoes should turn up exactly what you want. They should be pretty cheap as well.

lol im sure you've gotten enough hate for this comment already. It seems kinda close minded and stupid to say that. What's wrong with cosplay man? For all you know OP is out cosplaying and meeting hot nerdy chicks. Jealous?
