I'm surprised that there hasn't been a thread for this yet. Well, unless you count this one: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=250157 Or this one: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=250569 Slopestyle qualifying kicked off the Games, although Shaun White withdrew. The 3 American men (Ryan Stassel, Sage Kotsenburg, and Chas Guldemond) still in that competition are in the semifinals. As for the women, Karly Shore and Jamie Anderson qualified directly to the final. My girl Silje is in the semifinals... I'm hoping that she gets through that stage and on to Sunday. Will definitely be watching hockey and both short-track and long-track speed skating. Also.... the Sochi Problems Twitter account should be a good follow for the next couple of weeks. <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/kEUgH4jrxp/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>A lot of complaints about the accommodations. Although I am a naturalized American, when it comes to the Olympics and World Cup I only cheer for my motherland, South Korea. Hoping the greatest figure skater ever, Yuna Kim, wins another gold, and Short Track Speed Skating should again be dominated by Korea.
One can't pee while standing up? It's just me, but I don't want my butt having direct contact with toilet lids, if it's entirely avoidable. And bottom right...maybe drinking in the bathroom? lol idk
Bless your innocent heart young boy. The man is injecting heroin into his body via a needle, a common problem in Russia and more accepted than iv drug usage in America (God's country).
A girl from my town is representing Israel in Pairs Figure Skating, which is pretty awesome considering my town isn't that large. /cool story bro
Dang, these women snowboarders are hot. Only reason I haven't changed the channel when I realized Community wasn't on.
Men's slopestyle is on now. Geez, it's night and day the difference between men's and women's. Why do they even allow women to compete?
Am I the only one that hasn't paid any attention/forget where Sochi was, then thought 'How could these things possibly be happening in Japan? Did they pick the worst place in all of Japan?'
Russia is doing such a great job. Loved the opening light show. I understand four out of five dentists recommendations, but this? Really?

Irina Rodnina, one of the pair who lit the Olympic flame in Sochi, Tweeted this doctored, allegedly racist photo allegedly? russians don't hide behind a wall of pc innuendo, gotta give em that not everyone has heard of the anti-gay legislation!
I've seen this all over social media and the news but I think people are being unfair to the Russians over this. The Olympic opening ceremony is probably the most complicated live show to do and glitches aren't rare. In Vancouver one of the columns to form the Olympic cauldron did rise up. In Beijing one of the projected screens had the blue screen of death.
I thought a thread about hot Olympians would get more attention but I think I scared too many guys off with the pic of a dude.
I switched the channel to watch a few minutes of the opening ceremonies and I get Bob Costas talking to Obama. Oh well.
