Never died, according to King Drew... he was around when Dwight signing was happening. Hid Dad works with Berman, I think. He's remained adamant, saying he's feels it's 65-70% "done deal".
For the record, I don't think the Lin/Asik for Rondo package happens. I already listed names of who I think we'll end up with. My prediction is we'll end up with one of these guys... DeMarre Carroll Shumpert AK47 (unlikely) Dunleavy C.J. Miles Battier(unlikely) Chris Singleton Wes Johnson A. Morrow Darius Miller Gerald Green P.J. Tucker D. Wright
I remember someone telling me last year that the Rockets were going to trade for Josh Smith and that it was a "done deal". I guess every year needs a bunk trade for people to push.
They can't be traded without their permission but they can be released (and subsequently picked up by another team) without their permission. This may happen to one or both depending on what cap space we need for bigger trade(s).
Ah, so you want to add another ball dominant guard to fight for the ball with Harden on top of giving the other team another laughably awful FT shooter to "hack" at the end of games. Gotcha. Setting up 2 ball dominant guards on the same team always works great, especially when one of them shoots the ball like a drunk middle school kid.
Yeah, and having a guard whose defense prevents the other team from consistently prison-raping the Rockets on the perimeter and whose ability to get 11 assists per game, including passing into the post....yep, worthless qualities.
Why not just encourage Bev to completely dominate the ball and have him never again practice shooting and have someone kick in one of his knees....wouldn't that pretty much give us Rondo? I mean, maybe not right away, but soon, and a lot cheaper.
I can see the positive points in the Rondo trade. He is the kind of PG that could really feed the H&H. Beyond that, he has a lot of playoff experience that cannot be underestimated. Is it going to be Asik for Rondo or Lin for Rondo? It can't be both unless other players from Boston are included. I guess the only point holding it up is what else goes into that trade. Asik and Lin for Rondo and Wallace must come with two first round picks. Ainge will not give up two first rounders. Even one will require surgery.
Lmao true that! Rondo blows didn't even start on his "championship run" less athletic version of Bev minus the slight superior shooting/much worse ft shooting. Also his attitude sucks, hence why he never gets picked for the national team. Giant hands huge wingspan and still can't manage to put one down on a wide open fast break smh... Eastern conference guards lol
Gary Neal for Lin? [Clyde Drexler voice] I love it! Neal + Udoh for Lin + Montiejunas works in the ESPN trade machine Get it done Morey!!!!
I'd have to say "when healthy (and contributing instead of pouting) he's the third best player on the team..." I hope the last couple months has been an injury that is coming to an end and that his mind is geared toward helping this team in whatever capacity he can - but I have my doubts....
The rondo deal is right. There's just this Jones involved that Morey wants to keep. Reasons why asik is still here :/
We've got two good PG's with a lot of versatility, 3 actually, maybe 4. It seems to me that if you could have the best C on the floor for 48 minutes a night that would be more valuable than changing to a PG that takes the ball out of Harden's hands. I'd certainly like to see what Asik adds to the team or if Smith can play back-up C before I trade Asik away. If for nothing else than the insurance you need to carry in case of an injury to Dwight.
If what you are saying is true then Rondo will be here Feb 21st because there is no way that Jones is going to prevent that from happening. Morey is simply holding out until the end to see if he can get something better and get Rondo without giving up Jones.
Morey better give'em D-mo instead or some combination of future draft picks because trading Terrence Jones as part of a deal to get Rajon Rondo is full of "oh, hell naw!" to me. Nuh-unh. Nope. Give'em picks, Morey. New York 2014 2nd, Rockets 1st round 2015, whatever, but Terrence Jones this year has learned to stomp more than just homeless people. Can't yield him up.
