I know it's been beat to death, but where are the lower bowl folks?

Rockets are 3rd in the 3 major sports. Texans first, then Astros (for atleast right now) and then the Rockets. It is a shame since we have an entertaining team.

Wait I'm confused, is this thread about club seating or the seats that you can actually see the game in? Lock this thang up clutch. Op stop being cheap. I've been almost every home gamethis sseason and I always sit in the lower bowl and its only like $50 a ticket on vivid ($110 to sit on the baseline at the Dwight action figure game). I agree with qt, stop complaining and buy tix. I use games for date nights, automatic drawers LoL

Real fans might still have to work till 7:30 but would still enjoy 2 quarters of their $200 tickets.

Just to clarify once again, I think if there are empty seats that's not being used, people should fill it. But if the rightful owner shows up, they should move.

Those empty seats do look bad on TV.

Don't they have a protocol to allow others to "upgrade" once the first quarter is over or maybe by half time?

Last night was my first game this season and like everyone else on this thread i was pretty disappointed.

Ive been a diehard fan all my life and when I go to games I don't like sitting down for large parts of the game. I spend the entire game yelling at the top of my lungs and cheering like crazy...I couldnt believe it when the guy sitting behind me said "Sir can you please sit down and not be so loud"

Someone effing told me TO NOT BE SO LOUD at a Rockets game. I was furious to say the least, also didnt help that I was pretty drunk. I told the guy to go watch the game at home..

    I just don't understand.

To be clear i was disappointed about the lower bowl turn out, not the game.

When I become successful enough to afford better seats, I will definitely still be cheering my team on just like I do now in my upper bowl tickets (season ticket holder). Some people show up for business reasons, others show up because it was a gift, or it's the cool thing to do that night. Then you got the true fans, the Red Rowdies, a majority of the upper bowlers, and the few in good enough standing to afford lower bowl seats. I want to be the latter.

I don't agree with the "letting people move to lower bowl seats is too complicated" argument. I went once with a buddy of mine and sat in the upper bowl, until we saw advertised on the big screen that there were a ton of lower bowl seats available at a discounted rate. We went to the box office inside the arena and upgraded. They can find a way, that just need to be creative.

Here's my proposal: At halftime the Rockets use their ticket computer system to determine which seats no one has shown up for yet. All those seats become available for random purchase online or at the box office. So if you're in the upper bowl and want three tickets in the lower bowl you can enter that in your smartphone and the system will randomly assign you three tickets down below if available. A bar code will pop up on your phone to give you access so you don't even have to go to a box office (but you can if you don't have a smart phone). Every ticket is $5 (more than nominal, but still cheap). Caveat: if the person that purchased the ticket originally shows up after halftime you have to redo the process or go back to your original seat.

This won't take care of people that show up and leave really early, but I'd be willing to gamble on awesome tickets for $5 extra, the rockets get more revenue for double selling tickets, and the lower bowl gets louder. Who loses?

Most of our fan noise is coming from the 400s seats. In addition to the Red Rowdies.

I don't know how it sounded on TV. But actually sitting there in the lower bowl, a lot of us got up, cheered, and gave him an ovation.

But yeah, usually we're duds out there. I mean I would be more animated, but I'd be like the only one in my section to be so.

    You can't double-sell tickets.

I was at the Suns game in the lower bowl. It was pretty sad. A couple of guys stood up and were immediately told to sit down by people behind them. The only reason they even stood was to let an elder man pass by -- not to cheer the team.
