What's amusing is how the same people who complain about Morey not taking risks, often are the loudest to complain when the risk doesn't pan out. It wouldn't be a risk if the player was guaranteed to be a future star. Go to every GM in league history and you can find players they missed on. I've never jumped on the "genius" bandwagon when describing Morey, but it's hard to imagine what GM would have done a better job under the circumstances he inherited.

But if we can find this mythical replacement that does everything Morey has done right AND fixes all his mistakes then by all means we should hire him.

Dragic on this team would sit in the corner waiting for the ball last year and prob would have demanded a trade by this year. If you think Harden would have shared pg duties with him you are wrong. Lin easily puts up 20-6 on the suns as well.

Dragic with 3 screens set for him is a better player than an ISO Lin. Anyone who thinks otherwise is living in la la land.

    1) Dragic plays well off the ball
    2) Lin does not put 20-6 on ANY team.

And me saying he would and you saying he wouldn't obviously doesn't make either of us right but at least there's some data to back up my claim all be it a 30 game sample only. And I'm not one of those guys that thinks Lin is better than Harden or anything I just do think that any system that takes the ball out of the pgs hands is not a fair one to judge that pg in.

No championship team in the last 8-9 years has had a ball dominant pg

the closest was Parker, even then the Spurs moves the ball around a lot.

Those 30 games only speak negative about Lin's game because you are saying he can't perform unless he doesn't have a star on his team.

How did you reach that conclusion? With your theory, Harden should only be a 6th man if there are 2 other stars on the team? Because he can only perform best without 2 other stars.

I don't know what you are saying

i was merely responding to him implying Lin only does well without other stars on the team, and the Lin only thrives in pg dominant systems.

Unless you are implying Lin is on the level of Harden in terms of basketball skills and overall impact on a team

Clutchfans grade for JCDenton: F- (and probably lower if there were a lower rating)

    This guy should be rookified.

Out of those 3 players mentioned only Goran is missed. Goran, I'd take back in a heartbeat. Terence Jones is legit!!! He might be more of our "3rd star" then Parsons even. So I disagree, that was a great great draft pick by Morey in T Jones and trading Morris

this shouldnt be a thread about Lin or Harden, the whole team was key in winning. its like Miami still winning without LBJ or the Clips without CP3.

There is a single factor that reconciles all these statements below: Have a right coaches (say Hornacek) who have good set plays (learned from Sloan among others) and can help his players learn how to play off the ball.
