I know it's been beat to death, but where are the lower bowl folks?

half the city can't even watch the games on tv and no one seems to mind except people on this forum. Even the CSN people have given up with those ads because the interest isn't there.

houston doesn't care about the rockets or astros, astros are horrible so that's understandable, no excuses for why people aren't outraged over csn.

Glorious Lex should recruit professional stand by'ers', like during the oscars when someone has to gooo peee, said stand by'er' fills in and takes the seat.

    this would solve our problem.

This is the thing that always pisses me off in home games. They should have some sort of system in place were they allow upper bowl folk to come on down.

can't do that because if so no one would even think about buying lower bowl tickets people would just buy upper bowl tickets because there is a good chance they will get to move down

It should be a seat " FREE FOR ALL" if people arent in their high priced seats by the middle of the 2nd quarter. The last rocket game i went to , my wife and I said F*** It and after halftime a usher told us to go to the second row and take the open seats. This should be a policy written on the back of tickets. The real fans shouldnt have to sit on the 30th row while the people sitting on their Iphones take of the best seats

how is that fair for the non corporate rockets fans who pay double of upper level tickets to sit in the lowers behind the goal or lower corners?

they would be able to go sit there first before upper level fans do. Is anyone here a season ticket holder who can show these guys the pricing maps so they can understand whats going on ? I cant upload it

I like this idea. Make that whole "section" the same price (averaged out) and make it a general admission seating first come first serve kinda like movie theaters. People who care about the game will actually get their early and be rewarded for that. On tv, it will always look like it's packed too.

Prices average, depending on what row you are in

    uppers - $15-30per ticket, season tickets $600-800
lowers behind goal - $40-100per ticket, season tickets $2000-$5000
lower corners - $50-200 per ticket - season tickets $2200-$7000
club section "mid court" - $200-600 per ticket - season tickets $7,000-$16,000
    Floor seats - $350-$800per ticket - season tickets $15,000-$30,000

"club section are the first ones to sell out when season tickets are released. Most of the seats are returning season ticket holders and corporate owners season ticket seats”

Then those people in their seats won't renew their season tickets. Ever heard of "pricing out the riffraff?"

Fact is people pay good money to avoid obnoxious, tattooed, drunk, cursing fan. They do it everywhere and the folks who can afford to sit in the those $5K a seat would rather stay home than have some loud yokels fighting for the empty seat next to them.

I just don't think allowing people to come down would cause a change in which section people purchase tickets. You would still be guaranteed lower bowl seats for the whole game, versus a chance to come down, for say, a half.

Man I was there yesterday, and I mean for the most part the toyota center was packed. Their was one area where it was empty, or pretty empty. And that was on the lower bowl away from the benches which is usually what is highly seen on TV. For some reason that entire area was filled with gaps. The lower bowl right behind the benches was pretty packed but unfortunately that side is not seen as much through TV.

maybe it's just me but I don't imagine it getting that bad. I hardly see that many obnoxious people in the lower priced sections. it's a basketball game, what do people expect? to stay quiet and not be involved in the game?

Again, too expensive. Rockets ticket prices are absurd compared to a lot of other nba teams

Some great posts here by HeyPee. Yes, this has been beaten to death, but as someone who watches every game on LP, it does embarrass me to see those bright red empty seats. I've come down from Austin for a couple of games, and it's very difficult to "sneak" into the lower bowl. The fellow earlier who said an usher let them have some great empty lower bowl seats was just lucky. Les should limit adjacent seats to 4 for season ticket holders. I think that's perfectly logical and would help a lot. Another obvious thing that will help is a deep playoff run. When Houstonians finally come around and embrace this team, the Toy Box will be full and it'll be loud. That's the way it's always been. Houston is sort of a "show me" town, except when it comes to football, where they've always seemed more forgiving. I know I went to many Oilers games when they sucked, and had a great time. Houston will come around. The biggest easy fix, though, it doing what HeyPee suggested. Limit the sale of adjacent lower bowl season tickets to 4. If Les doesn't do that for next season, he's an idiot.

I have lost interest without the ability to watch the Rockets. #stupidComcast

Astros - dude, I could order right behind them at the lunch counter and not know it. They are invisible to me.

This whole Comcast deal sucks b@lls.
