Dragic has been playing like the best PG in the league over the past month.

i would love to see how many points dragic could score taking 6 shots. if he could do 24, I'd be impressed.

So we chase most of the Lin fans out and now the game thread is driven entirely by a visiting Suns fan. Smh

Excellent chemistry? Yeah that leads to first round exits without star players.

The Suns would be lucky to get Anthony. There are very few star players available BECAUSE teams know "chemistry" doesn't win titles without.... STARS.

You won't have much cap space after Bledsoe and Dragic are resigned. If you think Dragic is going to give you a big "break" on his contract, you are insane.

No one is dissing Dragic as far as I can tell.

LMFAO you keep thinking that Dragic is better than Howard and Harden.

    Davis > Dragic
    Harden > Dragic
    Howard > Dragic

    Meh.
Channing Frye will pick up his player option and Bledsoe will get close to the max, because some team will offer more than he is worth. Then the following year Dragic will want and get max money. So your available cap space will be in great part being eaten up by 2 players.

The Rockets are not "pretty much a finished product", they will have capspace and salary flexibility to add another max free agent after next year if they wish and have the assets to trade for one if one becomes available.

As far as you being in a position to be "great", not without stars... which you just don't have. You have good (but not great) salary flexibility and good role players, but you will not be "great" without "great" players.

    No, not pompous, just ignorant.

Here is the latest batch of Magic Numbers after all games were played on 2/5.

Nice win last night. Clippers lost, so we now control our destiny over them. If the Wizards had held to beat the Spurs, the night would have been perfect.

Antetokounmpo is poised to surpass all of those guys, IMO.

yes lets welcome fans cheering for another... team...

when LOFs just want Lin to be used right, and it to show in wins... when long time Rox fans...act as if thats going to hurt the team

we dont want to see Lin put up 30 shots a game... but we want to see him do well and make his teammates better...

or go crazy for a guy who gets multiple screens set for him... but are happy when their own point guards run to the corner...

as for Harden or Howard vs debate Goran...

talk to me when Harden and Howard are being used right...as much as I complain about how Lin is being used...

same can be said for these two...

because they should be doing PnRs instead of ISO for Harden or back to the basket for Howard...

I disagree with the last part. Both JH and DH are good iso players. In most nights, they match well up with their opponent at one-on-one. If the other team don't double DH and DH is on the roll, of course you go to him time and time again. So it all depends on matchups and the other team's defense strategies. Idealy, we want to mix it up and have a balance in terms of employing types of attack. The trick is to find the right balance for different games. The same can be said to the use of Lin, Jones, CP, etc... There is no one best way of utilizing players because the other team will always adjust and try to neutralize the best we do. For us, we will also need to make adjustment accordingly. This is why some nights Lin played as primary ball handelers and some nights he played more off ball. But he must play his band of basketball, no matter what. For him to improve, he got to play off ball better. This of course will come with experience and time. So let's be patient and enjoy the ride.

The Suns are a good team who are using all their players well and I can admit probably have better chemistry than ours, and they have a nice star in Dragic. I have no idea why that Suns fan is coming in here to talk trash lol. No one here is saying Dragic is bad and most would want him on this team. I mean if he's trying to start a rivalry, it's working.

The Rockets are more talented, but not all the talent is utilized properly. If the team met in the playoffs, I think it would be a great match that boils down to who can play better defense.

Duncan and Parker not playing tonight against the Nets. Hope they drop another one.

Getting 2nd is very possible now if we take care of our own business.

It is time for the Rockets to make a move. Second is within reach, and that would be our best chance to progress in the playoffs, playing the seventh seed with HCA. I like our chances.

You have to be careful ranking players by stat sorting. According to your analysis, Brandan Wright(23.7PER, .230 ws/48) is significantly better than Dragic.

Suns fan here. I like Dragic a lot (and the team) ,but if I think our team will be good without stars like Harden and /or Howard I will be nuts.I have some other reservations but that I will keep it to myself for the present.
