Cruz reminds me of Martin Sheen's Greg Stillson character in the 1983 Dead Zone movie. Some of Stillson's best lines:

I have had a vision that I am going to be President of the United States someday. And nobody, and I mean *nobody* is going to stop me!

You're not the voice of the people, I am the voice of the people! The people speak through me, not you!

And my personal favorite: The missiles are flying. Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

Can't wait to hear his "send 'em all back to Africa speech" at the 2016 RNC.

Ted Cruz is for choice in schools as long as you can't choose public schools with teachers who are unionized. Of course he has to denounce unions while talking about school choice and the faux GOP thing of caring about minority kids.

    Same ol. Same ol.

Why? Unions are viewed as enemies of the one percent and the Kochs and Cruz's funders don't like them.

unions are monopolistic which insulates them from competition and allows them to overcharge for their services

This is true, but why did unions came into existence? Everything needs proper balance. People on this bbs often think there is one absolute correct way of doing things when the truth is there often isn't one best solution to a problem.

For people who want preserve and save "America" you really don't have much of an idea of what America is or who "we the people" are.

Every time Commodore bumps this thread, he should start his posts with "Dear Diary"

This is economic reductionism. All human relationships, in this case folks at work, is reduced to a few concepts from econ 101.

So simplistic. So inhuman and also akin to "scientific" Marxism or the thinking of some of the so called "Jihadists" in its **** sureness.

Watching the best workers at my manufacturing plant get laid off because they are lowest in seniority tends to reinforce beliefs that already make logical economic sense.

Are you naive enough to think that not having unions mean that the best workers are never laid off? Don't you realize that in most cases unions or not those with lower seniority are laid off first.

Do you understand that workers make more with unions. I know. Not a concern of yours or the Koch's for that matter.

Are you the owner of the plant? Your ideology makes sense if you are.

Jesus Christ! That's going to be interesting. I hope he's a regular on a FOX "program," since I'm not wasting my time on that bogus "news" channel, otherwise. Maybe I'll just catch him on YouTube.
