Make sure you take a girl that dresses like a character from Kill la Kill or Highschool of the Dead, your costume doesn't matter as much.
Anime cosplay is just so weird. I honestly find it sillier that going out there with your undies over your clothes.

I like anime, too (apparently not as much as you), but fandom doesn't excuse your logic. Which anime are you talking about? bc there are a lot of them. To me, the design/art in anime/manga in general are amazing. Sure, some seem "silly" but there are so many different genre, it's silly to label all of them "silly".
Why are you so negative, they want to dress up as their favorite character then let them, it's like any hobby, if they have lots of fun doing it who are we to judge.
