    Hey Guys,

Decided it's time i invest in one. But everywhere I've read, if a cop is using a laser detector, by the time you detect him, it's too late. In that case, maybe a laser interceptor would be better, but those will get you a ticket too - for having a laser interceptor.

Anyone have experience with this? Are lasers common enough where a radar detector isnt worth it? I was thinking of buying a valentine, cobra, otherwise a Laser Interceptor.

The bounty on your head might be your biggest problem, tbh.

I used to have one in my early 20's. I always thought it was saving my ass too. I eventually found it easier to only drive a few miles over the limit or with traffic. Now I dont freak out every time the detector goes off or worry about it getting stolen. I have only received one speeding ticket in the last ten years.

I just bought a Escort 9500 xi and got hit with a laser soon after, so you're right in that sense. But it will save you from plenty of other situations so I still think it's worth it.

A "real" good one will run you over 5 hundi. I ditched mine though since the lazerz kept getting me. One cop told me that on I-10 as long as you're not going over 70 they won't pull you over. He said that most cops agree the 60 mph speed limit is stupid. Now I just go 68 and cruise without worry, and I drive by at least two guns every day and nada.

I know I am knocking on wood here but at least now I have an explanation why I never get stopped.
