Bought the Safari clippers and they work great. It's a much gentler cut, than the other two designs I used previously. The safety feature is nice. I definitely recommend these.

I've never needed to consistently trim nails. In fact, I have not trimmed nails on any of my dogs for as long as I can remember. I guess it's an activity thing?

If I needed to buy nail trimmers I would probably be lazy and grab whatever had the highest reviews on Amazon.

My dog's nail curls when it gets too long, so I have to trim them. I think it's just a genetic thing. If your dog doesn't grow super long or curly nails, then that saves you time and money.

Do not waste your money on that automatic grinder/dremel doodad on infomercial. It will just scare the **** out of both you and your dog. Find one similar to the one your vet uses.

Definitely. Or if your dog gets most of its activity on the yard (in the grass), he'll need more trimming than one who takes walks on concrete (which naturally shaves off nail excess).
