The Clippers are on a roll lately(and doing it without Paul). Another couple weeks and they could be 2nd in the West behind OKC.
The Rockets are on pace to win 53-54 games. What did they expect? If they play marginally better in the second half, they can win 55-56 games.... that is a lot in the ultra competitive West. Anyone that expected 58-60 wins is unrealistic, the bench is weak and that is to be expected after dumping players to get Harden and Howard the last 2 years. Also, the Rockets are only 3 games behind the Spurs. It is not impossible for the Rockets to win the division for the first time in 20 years.
No way Rockets are more disappointing than the Wolves. Stupid headline just trolling for LAL fan clicks.
Warriors were supposed to be amazing this year. They're worse than us so how are we more disappointing?

True, but we have a lot more road games than home games the rest of the way. The opposite is the case with the Clips. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think their home record is an insane 20-3 right now.
Most disappointing? More dissapointing then the Lakers? Than the Wolves? Than the Clips? Hell even the Kings, with Cuz Mclemore and then the trade for Gay. The Rockets were supposed to compete for a #1 seed, and after playing the fourth hardest schedule in basketball they're 5 games back... Lookin for hits.
I think nba.com choosing the Rockets is a joke. Our team has had so many injuries. I do think we threw away a lot of games with this hot mess of Omer Asik (he should have been traded last summer, but maybe Morey will still pull a rabbit from the hat), but Dwight Howard's presence is obviously a magnet. Whether or not we're that disappointing, how many people would click on a link to "Memphis - NBA's most disappointing" as to "The Team That Stole Howard from the Beloved O-Ye-Be-Praised Lakers - NBA's most disappointing"? I feels ya on the home-road games thing but it might be better for the Rockets to get out on the road. The team's focus is s*** at home. At home, Harden always starts the game in that "Treasures / Colorado last night, Black Eyed Pea for dinner" phase, pure sleepwalking.
The Rockets play many bad teams this month. Road games, yes. But bad teams. My point is, the Clippers are barely in front of the Rockets, and they were projected to be #1 in the West by many people. So how can the Rockets be more disappointing?
And the article is silly. To suggest a team right in the mix for a top four seed, in the freaking West, is a disappointment is ridiculous.
I would say we are underperforming but we aren't most disappointing. How about the Wolves? Many picked them to be a playoff contender with Rubio becoming a great point guard. Now they are below .500 and Rubio is still the same player he was 2 years ago and Love looks ready to leave ASAP.
The Rockets are on pace to increase their win total 10 games from last year. And they were a playoff team last year. And that is with no real back-up center. So the whole "48 minutes of elite rim protection" idea has not even been used. I just don't see how that is disappointing.
The Houston Rockets is standing 5th in the west right now, It's OK, but the style we played is disappointing
this thread will be full of excuses, will be fun to read. Instead of talking about what the rockets can improve on to not be a team that people think this of you will see the blame game. understand people have saw us get blown out by 2thunder, 1-pacers, 2-clippers 5times on national TV and set a record VS okc. Dont know what you guys expected people to say about us.
yeah, i think this is really funny. like many have posted before, the 'experts' were picking us to be a 5th or 6th seed in the west along with a 2nd round exit and now that we're ahead of their prediction pace, we're considered disappointing? hypocrisy at its finest. i will say this though and maybe they threw this in as a factor; it's some of the losses we have. it's to really low competition and sometimes not showing up at all in big games. im not saying that other good team in the nba dont have bad games and dont have bad losses but for eff-sake we cant even beat sacramento and we didnt even show up for indiana or memphis.
We are 15 games above .500 lol so how are we a disappointment. Yes we lost some games that we shouldn't have but guess what every team has. Some people need to lower their expectations. Plus we still have 33 games to play and we could go 28-5. If so what will they say then lol.
Just because Harden and Howard have been healthy for the most part does not mean we should be meeting expectations. Believe it or not, Asik would have made all the difference in most of the games we have lost. Our defense is porous with Howard, and simply atrocious without him.
Some how NBA tv/.com rated the Warriors as an A- and the Rockets get the B. The Warriors have a worst record yet for them to get an A- means the analysts are making excuses for them. After watching Dennis Scott analysis he's content to throw the team under the bus without making any excuses---yet, other teams get a pass? HMMMM....Still bitter Dennis?
