Has there been any word on Marcus Camby's foot? Is he anywhere near ready to take Brewer's roster spot? I'm ready for him to start working into play-off game shape.
Why would I be kidding? A few minutes, when necessary, from someone who knows how - - and can - - play the 5? You'd prefer Jason Collins? Problem is simple - - I'll believe Omer laces'm up at TheToyShop when I see it.

This is the latest I have heard from a month ago Marcus Camby wants NBA return, preferably with Rockets Veteran center Marcus Camby is rehabbing from surgery that repaired a torn plantar fascia in his left foot and hopes to return to the NBA this season, reports MyFoxHouston.com's Mark Berman. Camby told the news station that he's only able to jog on a treadmill at this point, but he is aiming to hit the hardwood in about a month. He'd like to return with his hometown Houston Rockets. Camby joined the Rockets for training camp prior to the 2013-14 season but was waived after struggling through his foot issues. It could be a longshot for Camby to join Houston, which has a full roster, but an opportunity could open up due to injury or trade. The Rockets seem resigned to hanging on to backup center Omer Asik but can still deal him before the Feb. 20 trade deadline. Camby played 24 games with the New York Knicks last season and averaged 1.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 10.4 minutes per game. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2014/1/6/5280798/marcus-camby-nba-return-rockets Also on twitter @JaredZwerling: Camby's agent told me: "Doing well, still rehabbing & does plan on playing when he completes his rehab likely towards the end of the month."
Greg Smith and Omer are both 1,000 times more effective than what's left of Marcus Camby. Yes we might be able to get a small amount of games out of him and a small amount of minutes per game but at this point it's mostly just wasteful to put Camby in 5 minutes every other game when you could put Smith in for 5 and get almost the same thing. Omer went through a full practice and could be cleared to play Saturday.
"When you need a 3, give it to D?" Nah, Dwight. It's more like... ..."When you need a 3, give it to Camby."
LMAO! Yeahhh lets get rid our rookie draft pick who is playing well in the D-League for a 50-year old!
It's not Greg Smith - it is a player that is under 40 years old. Tree Rollands would be a great fit, too. - if 1982. If there was value in Mr. Camby he would be on a roster. He was a good to great player - but father time gets us all.
