I hope not. I hope that they can form their own opinion on these kind of things.

Within the next 48 hours, the Texans are going to become the most talked about team in the league, because all eyes will shift to the draft. It will be interesting to see how this SB ass kicking is going to influence BOB's thinking.

Everyone knows that, it's not groundbreaking stuff.

There is STILL the issue of what you are going to do with the #1 pick, which is what this thread is about.

I wonder if more people will lean towards drafting Clowney now that another record setting offense has been smothered in the playoffs.

It won't change a thing. Only two players on that Seattle D were drafted in the 1st round

Little to none. He has developed a system that has contributed to Super Bowl wins that depends on the QB. That will still be his number one priority. If he thinks there is a Franchise QB in the draft he will take him.

Umm...are the Lions even relevant without those guys? So you are saying #1 picks and even 1st round picks don't win superbowls? Is that what you are saying? Just trying to be clear because that is a pretty insane thing to say...

I mean we have Watt on our team...should we trade Watt for a bunch of 3rd and 4th round picks? Duane Brown too, another 2st round pick..Andre...another 1st round pick...

You are right, your depth is built through the rest of the draft, but you draft superstars and future HOFamers in the first 2 rounds and sometimes 3rd.

Either way, everyone KNOWS you need to draft well in the later rounds too. This is about what we will do with the #1 pick.

La Canfora thinks the tTexans are positioning to trade down. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...ns-positioning-to-move-down-in-2014-nfl-draft

It is fair to think that a QB guru like BOB might believe he can develop a second round pick, with or without regard for the quality of the top consensus QBs, and would rather draft a defensive change changer.

After watching the Super Bowl you see why they say defense wins championships so the texans need to get their defense straight and think out side the box

We are going to be the odd man out. Bortles will go to the Browns, Bridgewater to the jags.

Please lets go defense at #4 and get Murray/Fales/Jimmy G at the 26th or the second round

Funny that La Canfora's idea is based on a John Mclain tweet.

LOL yeah I immediately was wondering why we'd do that rather than just picking a better defensive player at #1 overall then picking any of those guys up in the 3rd round.
