Can't be the Superbowl without a Budweiser commercial!

A few years back I attended a Super Bowl watch party. Half the people there came just to watch SB ads. People loved them. They talked about these ads on Facebook, Twitter, and Messages after seeing them. They talked about the ads at work the next day. Many even went on YouTube to rewatch the ads.

I remember looking around when a Budweiser and a Doritos commercial came on. Most people were overweight and not paying attention to the game. The expensive projector was bought specifically for the game. The beer we drank was made by Anheuser-Busch InBev; the food we ate came mostly from PepsiCo's Frito-Lay. The TV suggested what we buy, yet the products were already in our mouth. Such is the power of modern marketing and advertising. It was a surreal moment. [/Debbie Downer musing ;)]

Glad Cheerios and General Mills aren't running from the controversy.

The Maserati commercial was one of the lamest things Ive ever seen.

I guess the Doritos one was my favorite so far. Go Cheerios for airing their ad, even though it was old.

Oh, it's old? I saw the first one where she was putting Cheerios in the dad's shirt but hadn't seen part 2.

That Cheerios ad was new. The first commercial with that family is the one that caused the backlash from racists because of the Interracial family. So, they filmed a new commercial for the Superbowl.

I don't understand why pistachios need a commercial.

Oh ok. I just remembered the family and thought it was the same.

Hate to say it but that Transformers commercial got my interest.

The Coke commercial was nice and I loved the Rudy cameo.

I'll probably have to can the half time commercials on YouTube.

My cable company always shows local crap commercials.

That means it was a poor commercial, if you ask that. It wasn't about Pistachios (like a "Got Milk" campaign by a trade association), but it was a company trying to get their brand out.

The brand is Wonderful trying to gain market against someone like Kirkland. Or maybe Wonderful is the market leader, and they are just trying to boost all pistachios eating.
