News flash. We're not catching up to the veteran Spurs and there is a VERY good chance that we lose to the suns.
The Spurs are down Kawahi, Green, Ginobli, and Splitter right now. TP has also missed games lately. If we cant catch up to them now, then we might as well pray to the basketball gods we dont meet them in the playoffs, because as it stands they are half a team.
Spurs are declining. Portland is playing a real schedule. The Suns are playing above their own heads. This team is going to finish as the second or third seed.
After the All-Star break, I just want everyone healthy and Omer buying in to the team. If we have that, I don't care where we end up, we'll do some major damage in the playoffs.
OKC or Memphis could give us trouble unless we hit an insane amount of 3 point attempts. Nobody else scares me too much.
If Omer wasn't being such a puss, this team could be fighting for 1st or 2nd. A stable rim defender when Dwight goes out would have given us another half dozen wins. If he buys in, the sky is the limit for this team (after OKC, cause Durant is unstoppable).
Remember when we made such a thread in 09'? We were a lock for the 2nd seed and lost to Dallas and the 3 way tie, putting us at the 5th seed.
50% all depends on ASIK if you can get him to buy in then all we are missing is one solid 3 to come off the bench in a 8man playoff rotation. We have picks & other players that should be able to get us that in a trade. Dunleavy would be the idea target. 50% But if we can get solid expiring contracts that can help us WIN now for asik & Lin then that would work. Because I would be upset if pacers beat heat & heat break up and we passed up on cap room to make a play for bosh/lebron if one of them walk this summer.
I don't know how long you have a been a Rockets fan, but they way the rockets implode at the end of seasons will make you superstitious too. in the last few seasons the rockets have missed the playoffs or favorable match-ups by just 1 to 2 games.
Not as long as you - I started watching their games during the Chase Bud tenure and have become a fan over the last year and a half. I saw the implosion last year and it was frustrating as they were playing their best right up until that point and it's like everyone ran out of gas.
