Damn, I really enjoyed him. One thought that comes to mind is someone has to replace him in the upcoming Hunger Games movies.
Strange that a guy like that would be messing with heroin and the needle. It's too bad. He was one of my faves.
I've read he's had a long history of drug abuse dating back to his college days. He admitted he had used pretty much anything and everything to get high.
No disrespect to him, but who is going to play his character in the upcoming two parts Mockingjay movie?
Can't do it from a cell phone. But Yeah probably won't bc everyone's opinion counts, regardless of my personal view. Sorry for the profanity- uncalled for.
What a shame. RIP. He was a fantastic actor with a great range. If it was heroine that's really sad. I know people who've done all sorts of drugs who never became addicted and then almost instantly got hooked to heroine, and that just really sucks. There are people who can do heroine and not become addicted as well, but it doesn't seem like a good one with which to take the chance.
From the NY Post article: Hoffman publicly admitted in 2006 that he nearly succumbed to substance abuse after graduating from NYU’s drama school, but got sober in rehab. “It was all that (drugs and alcohol), yeah. It was anything I could get my hands on…I liked it all,” he told “60 Minutes” as the time. Last year, Hoffman reportedly checked himself into rehab again for ten days after relapsing in 2012. TMZ said he began using prescription pills, then snorted heroin for about a week before realizing he needed help. Yeah, one of my favorites too. Awesome actor and it seemed as if almost every movie he played in was great.
Heroin . There's a batch of Fentanyl laced H that's been causing quite a few deaths recently in the North East. I wonder if he happened to get a hold of some: http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/30/justice/pennsylvania-heroin-deaths/
Damn this sucks, such a good actor. If reports of it being an od that's crazy. I don't see how one can be a heroin addict and put out the quality work he did. R.I.P. Mr. Hoffman. i
