casspi is doing good for his vet. Min contract, but that's it, morey Mchale has to find a guy more polished for his mins come playoffs, dude is the most SELFISH player on this team doesn't like to pass no vision, especially on fast break he never looks to make that easy extra pass when a man is right on him, instead he would rather go to free throw line knowing dang well he's not reliable for there we don't have time for this ! If dude just played more smarter, shoot 3s or midrange don't rush them, and pass if he doesn't like the look he would be better, but this wild play is going to be bad coming off the bench in the playoffs he doesn't need to be in the rotation on a contender team as of now.
he plays hard, I don't think its that he's selfish as much as he just gets r****ded cases of tunnel vision
yeah but we don't have time for that unpolished play in the playoffs, like I said I think he performing good & hustles hard for a guy on a vet.min contract, but that's doesn't mean he's a guy that you can trust in a rotation as a back up 4 on a contender team in the playoffs as of now.
I agree that Casspi should look to give the ball up earlier on the break. (He's not the only forward on the team that I think should do that, though.) But when he's run off the three-point line and drives past his defender, I think he does do a decent job of looking to pass. Early in the season (and in the preseason) he was actually quite good at doing this.
I gave him credit but let's not act like out performing every player in the NBA on vet. min contracts that can do these things. What I'm talking about here is playoff rotations at PF. Casspi a good value to have on the team, but not good enough to be in a back up PF in the playoffs going up against grizzlies, Portland, okc, clippers, spurs.
His sharpness is below average for a small forward. His tone is slightly below average as a power forward. If he gets to average or better than average he will contribute against any opponent.
he needs to be pushed deeper out of the rotation by (hopefully) a better shooter brought in by the trade deadline
I didn't see the suns game. He needs to be sharper at the 3 and have a better tone at the 4. In some ways he can be the perfect 4 around Dwight Howard but he needs to be sharper. He makes up for his dull play with energy, effort, tone and defense. I can sum up his career in cleveland and sacramento as he played dull.
I don't even call him by his name anymore. He's "Tunnel Vission". Everytime he gets the ball he is looking through a microscope and has one thing on his mind.
I think his problems is that he doesn't know what he wants and constantly fights with himself what he should do as pass, shoot, drive, or dribble. He could use a some tunnel vision.
I didn't watch the game tonight, but the box score says he only took one shot. It must've been one hell of a bad shot for that "nickname" to come up after this game...
