He's been on the bench for like 4-5 home games now. Not sure why people are acting like it's something new or means something.
Everyone's hating, but ya'll do realize how much better the team could be if Omer can get back into the rotation, right?
If he's still on the roster when the trade deadline passes, I'm cautiously (and maybe naively) optimistic that the competitor & professional in him will swallow his pride and do his job. It certainly won't do him any good to continue to mope.
Your best C last season played with his full heart. Yes. He demand trade. He is also injured. But come on. How can you guys attack him so personally while you have no evidence to say that he is being selfish? He had a knee surgery before. Are you going to say that every rocket who went down with injury is selfish??? He deserves at least appreciation and respect for his effort last year alone. Without him, we could never get close to playoff. Do you think DH would come if we never reached playoff?
This thread shows why the GARM is having a lot of low quality discussion. Because people are just speaking opinions without evidence to back it up. Opinions >> Facts here.
i think its fine hes not playing.. at least he isnt going around sleeping with someones wife and causing trouble in the locker room. If a player told you his ONE stipulation to joining the team before he signed was to be a started and then he got snubbed he doesnt need to be happy with the company anymore. Its like imagine signing with a company in a contractor as the main architect for a project and you do a great job at first then halfway thru they demote you not necause you didnt do well but they got an even better person when you told them you wanted to be the head architect. If theres no corporate loyalty then theres no need for employee loyalty.
No company can guarantee employment (this is written out in almost all working contracts). So even if Morey or Les had come out and said something like "We're really happy to have signed Omer, he's going to be our anchor at starting C for years to come" Asik cannot legally hold them liable for anything. If you were a contractor and signed a statement of work to design a building, did a good job halfway through your work but then the client found someone else, typically you would only be compensated 50% of what your pay was as you'd probably be billing by the hour. In Asik's case, he's lucky to be still getting paid. This guy is someone who played behind Noah, Boozer, Gibson on most nights yet still nabbed a great contract. How come he can't play behind Dwight for a season and a half?
wrong As Clutch/Adam said on the podcast. It's in everyone's interest that Omer play. If he wants to get traded and/or if the Rockets want to trade him, he needs to prove he can play before the deadline.
