Wait for who.........? lol This is flawed logic at its finest, not team would be that foolish to hinge their propects on next years qb class unless their is no one in the previous one.
First he was "small", now he's "fat" and out of shape. LOL Just wait until the combine for measurements on all these guys. Is that so hard? Stop trying to analyze all these pics of Bridgewater and Manziel and whoever else and guessing how tall they are or how big they are or how small they are. Wanna play arm-chair/amateur size predictor... Teddy's a shrimp! A shrimp compared to Cam! Spoiler Look how skinny he is! Spoiler SHRIMP! TOOTHPICK!
Its extremely unlikely the team could repeat as worst in the league. Imagine they try for next year's class and end up at 4-12 and pick #6. You aren't getting Mariota or Winston @ 6. More likely they end up 7-9, picking in the mid - teens. Go ahead and scratch Hundley and the kid from Baylor off your list, too. I understand the argument that next year's class is better. I firmly subscribe to the idea of the bird in hand, but whatever. But does anybody really think next year's class minus the top 4 players is better than this year's QB class? Deal with the fact that this is the year we won the futility lottery, and move on. Pineing over next year's class is like not dating women because you're saving yourself for Scarlet Johansson.

I don't think so. Manziel is unique. I honestly am not sure whether he will be successful. There is no question his size is an issue. But he can run like no one I've ever seen in college. He is unbelievably elusive. You can't say he can't transfer that to the next level because no one has ever been that good before. Manziel is an enigma and a mystery at the same time. I wouldn't bet on him not succeeding. But at the same time I wouldn't take him first overall. If he turns out to be successful it won't be like he is head and shoulders better than Bridgewater. His ceiling is not as high IMO. Secondly to make him successful it is imperative you build an offense around him. You absolutely have to utilize his improvisational skills to get the most out of him. That's scary because you are now make him more susceptible to hard hits and injury. Those two things along with his size should shy most GM's away from him but again Manziel is an enigma that gives rise to much speculation. Everyone is looking for that prototypical size and speed and when they find it they get all loopy over it. Which is why Logan Thomas will get drafted. Even though there is no evidence that size and speed equate to a good QB. Manziel brings skills like no one else. He is elusive and hard to hit. Why won't that continue at the next level making less likely to get injured. And then there's that WOW factor. I wouldn't bet on that not happening at the next level. The problem is Johnny Manziel takes you into areas "Where No Man Has Gone Before". Will someone want him to lead him there. I think so. And I think there is a shot Cleveland takes him. Cleveland's got nothing going on over there. Johnny brings excitement hope and some more ticket sales. He could make people forget about there stupid management. That in itself is worth the risk IMO. If he doesn't go to Cleveland he becomes more valuable as he drops in the draft and the risk becomes less. I don't see him going later than the early second round. Someone will bite by then. Mystery Manziel coming to your NFL Tv soon.
Hogan and Driskel may make it 6 and all may not be drafted in the top half of the 1st. Dating would be signing a cheap QB, and or sticking with Case (and or Schaub), and or drafting a QB with a later pick... That way if none work out, they can be kicked out in the morning or when a prettier QB comes along. Question is if O'Brien is going to want to get married on his 1st date by spending the #1 pick on a quarterback because he's stuck with him rather good or bad. The guys in this draft aren't thought of as highly as previous top picks like Luck, RG3, Cam, Stafford, so will O'Brien say "I Do."
This is a good analogy. Are any QBs this draft marriage material? Clowney then would seem to have less downside when you think ''til death do us part."
Naw, he looks just fine to me. His build is stocky and he does appear to be in great shape. He's just short especially when posed next to someone like Logan Thomas. Too bad Logan can't play although someone is going to take a flyer on him that's for sure.
This is where you and I differ big time. IMO Bridgewater is no longer the best quarterback in this draft. He is the best player. And if the best player matches your needs you always marry him. You seem to smart not to see that a liittle bit. Also Bridgewater is better than all of next year's QB's right now. They may progress and he may not. But right now Bridgewater has more checks marked in the boxes that matter. Yeah a lot of scouts or enamored with numbers and the combine will reveal a lot. But if he comes in close to what I expect he will, 6'3", 215, 4.6 than it's a no brainer. It's not 6'5" 240 4.4 but since when has that guaranteed anything. Here's where you will go is he nuts. I think Bridgewater does the most important things better than Luck. He is quicker than Luck has better footwork and better pocket presence than Luck and is more accurate under pressure than Luck compare to his college days. Luck clearly had a stronger arm coming into the league but Bridgewater had some mechanics issues that were never addressed in college and have been corrected. Luck had every available mentoring, training, he came in ready to play. Bridgewater wasn't as fortunate. He had some poor mechanics in throwing the ball, not using his legs enough. But he has corrected that. Just listen to what he has done and how he has improved. His pro day visit will bear that it. Interview with Bridgewater Chris Weinke who you don't think much of but he has trained Cam Newton, Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson, Geno Atkins, Drew Brees and advised Peyton Manning how to return from his injury thinks Bridgewater is the total package. Teddy Bridgewater will be a successful pro , "Because of the Total Package. There's no doubt this guy brings everything. If I am an owner of a franchise I want this guy to be my franchise quarterback. Very accurate passer, high IQ, ability to be able to escape... no question he can run I Anticipate Bridgewater to be about 215-220 (by combine),... although thin I think he is built well.. has the ability and knack to avoid taking a big hit. The thing about this kid is he has an amazing work ethic. You do not have to worry about him off the field and you do not have to worry about him coming in out of shape or unprepared. So you get this really good QB who has been called a football savant by his coach and an NFL scout and he brings with that athleticism, mobility and accuracy and has improved his arm strength which I thought was pretty good already. How can you not see this kid is the best choice. I know I won't change your mind. Just think you seem to smart not to see it.
I have no doubt he has the strength, it isn't the best photo of him. It's just the neck tan line and that bit of a belly make him look a little bit out of shape. Also standing next to logan doesn't help. He does look older than 21 but I am sure he will be in shape for the combines.
