I actually am mad at the organization for this and I am usually a rational person.

If this is really an injury, give us a time table or some sort of diagnosis.

Who gives a flying **** about that ***** Asik at this point. Motiejunas is a big clumsy project but he at least he plays hard and cares.

If it was a legit injury, Asik would be on the bench.

Praying that Morey can come through one more time.

Yeah and you have a right to be ticked. Asik continues to get paid and not talked about... we should be trashing him just like Royce White.

Mchale said on 790 yesterday that asiks been running on the floor now that's a big improvement from what he's saw. His knee hasn't been swelling after doing this like it was before. Said he's been running on the under water treadmill also. So take this for what it's worth.

Media and Coaches say that it is a legitimate injury why can't you guys take that as fact?

OK, simple question for you guys doubting the legitimacy of the injury: How is Asik sitting out beneficial to anyone?

    It's beneficial for his ego.

If it is a legit injury, then it is definitely one of the weirdest injury reporting I've ever seen. Beverley injures his hands, we're told of what kind of injury it is, how long he's going to be out, his status on a weekly(if not more often) basis. We see him with the team. We hear from coaches and players their estimate of his recovery. All these things are open.

OTOH, Asik has one of the most severe, mysterious, hush-hush thigh brusies you've ever heard in the NBA. I would challenge you to find another thigh bruise injury of any team where the player disappears and there's no timetable on his recovery.

Not sure if this is true, but it's entirely plausible that Asik is sitting out due to selfishness/pouting, and the organization is trying to cover it up with the whole injury bit, to not make it a distraction.

I don't know what you guys want them to report though. The Rockets have come out and said repeatedly that they simply don't know why his Knee/thigh hasn't reacted to the treatments. Rockets have said that he has been to multiple doctors and even they don't exactly know why the injury isn't healing the way it should. How do you put a timetable on that? Would you guys have been happier with an "out indefinitely"? I'm guessing that would have been a problem too.

I mean even the media who loves to sensationalize stuff like this have no idea what to make of it and they too have come out and said it is a legitimate injury and not related to his wanting out of Houston. This is the same media that first reported: Asik's refusal to play, Asik's "deal" with Morey to not go after Dwight, Rocket Teammate's shock and anger with Asik's behavior, Asik's agent telling him not play and his subsequent firing.

I mean, if there was story to be told about this mysterious injury (and it is weird) I'm pretty sure it would have been reported by now.

Take the tin foil hats off guys; Asik is really hurt.

Asik refused to play initially because of his agent and since apologized to the team for his behavior. I'm pretty sure that was one of the reasons he fired his agent.

I doubt anyone has expressed this concern before...but do you all believe the Omer Asik we'll get back after this "thigh injury" will be the same defensive anchor who helped us make the playoffs last year? Keep in mind, it will be at least 2 months of no PT until he comes back. I would not want him to play more than 12 minutes (backup C), unless Dwight gets in foul trouble.

To me, that's an even bigger question than the alleged knee swelling which has kept him out for so long. Rim protection for 48 minutes would make us an instant contender, as Daryl Morey preaches based on advanced analytics. Against some opponents with big frontcourt players (Grizzlies and Clippers in our conference; Spurs don't come close with the overrated Splitter), we could potentially field our TT lineup for at least 20 minutes.

Really anxious to see Asik in uniform and ready to check in. I know fans will boo him at first. The only way he can gain that trust back is by playing hard!

Should find out soon enough on how Asik is health wise and is he focus to contribute to the team. I know some trade will be made by the Rockets, just don't know what Morey has cooking.

    what about GREG SMITH!!!!

Did he play his last game too? What happened to the guy? I never hear any updates.

Team has had to go all years without a back up center with no explanation. Its driving me up the walllllll!

19 days until the deadline, and I still believe Assik will be flushed between now and then.
