For a young 7-footer who is fast, has low post skills, can shoot 3's (don't want that as a regular thing, though. Unless...), can rebound and defend (lately), that's a very good foundation onward to becoming a future all-star. Crossing my fingers.

Easy answer, Morey put DMo on the team, up to McHale to use him appropriately!

Well in McHale's defense, we didn't have a back up center at all or at that point we didn't have a center at all. Hill and D.Mo are both players who are better suited playing the PF position. It's not like we have a PF who is an established player (who can bring a consistent effort night in and night out). Terrence Jones has shown he can perform well but he's still a rookie. I'd like to see D.Mo and Jones sharing the 4 spot though. At least until we get Asik's situation handled.

LOL, the kiss at the end... Im starting to like this guy man.. But sadly he needs time to work on his game and fine tune it... Rockets are in WIN NOW MODE, so him along with Terrence Jones are all trade baits for a bigger fish to make us instantly better in short and long term. Lets see where DM and Les Alexander take us from here.

and DMO and Y-Jones could split 20 mins ea at pf spot, while leaving 8 extra minutes for both Asik and Howard to play together. so pf/C 96 min's would be filled w/ Howard -36min's, Asik, TJones, DMO - 20 min's each. With Greg Smith ready to go in if someone gets injured.

Thats what i though would happen, there was interview few months ago, and KM was basically like "Both TJ and Dmo played well in pre-season, but i was more comfortable with TJ". So he was more comfortable with TJ and then decided to DNP Dmo for 20games? While we were struggling for another Big man?

That's my point. What's up with all the DNP's? The last 2 losses against Dallas DMo got DNP's.

That last loss Dirk went off like a wild man late in the game and Parsons Casspi and Jones couldn't do anything and we blew like a 15 point lead and DMo gets a DNP.

Dirk scores 14 in the 4th and Asik and Smith are out and DMo gets a DNP.

Coach acknowledges DMo plays well in the preseason and DMo owns Dirk on D in the preseason and DMo gets a DNP.

I don't get how people can argue that DMo didn't deserve a little time at least in that game. Go figure

I'm all for that but who is that bigger fish? Aldridge, Love and Bosh aren't walking through that door. DMo and TJones will continue to improve trading either now would be getting less than their potential value. I would do it in a sec if it could bring us in an upgrade at the 4 but no one is trading those upgrade guys away.

The good ones on the free market are overpriced, the great ones are not taking less than MAX BUCKS. So unless we have a better option dumping DMo for something different is not smart. I am sure Morey gets that.

What makes you think Love isn't walking out? Timberwolves have been going nowhere since forever.

Sure he is walking out. But he is walking straight to L.A.. And he will get Max dollar to the penny. If we dump everyone not named Parsons Harden and Howard we still won't have enough. The same goes for Bosh and Aldridge.

Well I guess we'll have to take Les's word that he'll pony up for a championship.

He can only pony up what he is allowed. If you dump everyone including chandler we would still not have 20 mil in cap space to sign one of these MAX pros. And if we could get someone to take a small pay cut (remember they are already taking a pay cut by not signing with there original team) then that leaves us with nothing but money for minimum plyers. Which means we would be worse off than Miami when they started out with their big three. At least they kept Haslem and Chalmers. Plus we are talking about a complete rebuilding 2 years from now.

Nope not going to happen. The only thing I see and I see it as real because of Morey is we trade for one of these guys because the other team knows they are going to walk for nothing if they don't trade them. The same way we got Harden. But the player has to have maybe some desire to play here and we have to have more assets to trade, an improved DMo or TJones with Asik or maybe you have to even throw in Parsons plus an extra 1st pick.

Something like that could happen but it's still a long shot. If it doesn't happen I think we still can compete. We have a solid young team. Just the maturation of the young players and upgrade Garcia and maybe Casspi will make us better next year.

I am happy for Donatas, but I think his play is being overblown.
His defense against Dirk was nothing special and I do not think that he is a rotation player on the Rockets long term.
I hope I am wrong, but there are still some real issues defensively and shooting wise.
