That was my 1st guess, but would OKC actually trade Kevin Durant for anyone now? I'm starting to think they wouldn't even trade him straight up for Lebron.
Kevin Durant and Reggie Jackson for Lebron Paul George, Lance Stephenson and Roy Hibbert for Lebron The entire Lakers team minus Kobe for Lebron
The only possible trade scenario for KD would if KD requests a trade, or he implicitly tells Presti he is leaving OKC in 2016.
No. Durant is the only thing that would even be considered but Miami wouldn't take Durant for LeBron.
Close to realistic deals, as possible Detroit Pistons: Andre Drummond or Greg Monroe Josh Smith or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 1st Round Pick (2014), unprotected Toronto Raptors: Kyle Lowry DeMar Derozan Jonas Valanciunas 2nd Round pick (2014/2015, swap pick) Milwaukee Bucks: 1st Round (2014) pick, unprotected John Henson or Larry Sanders Ersan Ilyasova or Giannis Antetokounmpo Caron Butler Houston Rockets: Omer Asik Jeremy Lin Chandler Parsons New Orleans Pelicans: 1st Round Pick (2014), unprotected Jrue Holiday (when, healthy) Eric Gordon or Tyreke Evans Hard to call on both sides: Minnesota Timberwolves: Kevin Love Nikola Pekovic or Ricky Rubio 1st Round Pick (2014/2015 swap pick) Memphis Grizzlies: Marc Gasol Mike Conley or Courtney Lee 1st Round (2014) pick, unprotected LA Clippers: Blake Griffin 1st Round (2014) pick, unprotected If Miami was desperate; Los Angeles Lakers: 1st Round (2014) pick, unprotected (cannot be traded, in reality) Pau Gasol
I actually do think Harden, Parson and Omer would be an enticing package. Rondo and a **** ton of picks wouldn't be bad either. LMA and Lillard might do it if Portland would go that far.
Another thing to consider is Denver is owed NY's unprotected lotto pick. So, Denver being able to offer both of their draft picks, Ty Lawson, Faried, and Miller (bought out). That is not bad considering you get two top ten picks in this draft. Then, Wade and Bosh are either dealt in a sign and trade or they let have cap flexibility moving forward and some bright young players. Also, Houston Rockets: Omer Asik Jeremy Lin Chandler Parsons What? LOL
If Lebron had demanded a trade and threatened to leave, I think this would be the best package that would be offered. Durant wouldn't be traded for Lebron, I think Indy would be loyal to George. Morey doesn't care about that, get the best of what you can get at the time, so he'd be the only person with a top 5-10 player + solid fillers that would be able & willing to swing a deal.
Davis + every pick possible Or if it had to be rockets Harden + dwight + parsons + tjones + bev + DMo + multiple 1sts For LBJ + expiring bosh + the worst fillers Also George + hibbert + expiring lance + picks For LBJ + multiple filler Or Boogie cousins + IT + multiple picks Wait no none of these are proberbly enough
LeBron is right now in his prime and he's quite possibly can be the greatest ever if not for sure a top 3 ever. You simply don't trade that for ANYTHING. The entire economy of a city is affected by a force like LeBron. Jobs are created, revenue comes in, he's the hottest ticket in town on the road. Endorsements, press, attention. It's rare and you don't trade that for nothing. On top of that you have chemistry. Miami has spent the past 3 years building chemistry, the genius of Pat Riley putting the pieces together. Look at Brooklyn you can't just throw together some stars and have a winning team. You need to do it in a strategic way. LeBron, Bosh, Wade, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Birdman, Rio, etc... all fit together perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle. You don't just put a Kevin Durant or a no defense playing, ball dominating James Harden & Chandler parsons on this team and automatically get a contender. You don't trade LeBron in this situation for NOTHING. You built this monster now you ride or die with it. And that's what we're doing here in Miami and it's a damn fun ride my friends. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RlyOjUWb-1Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
People think the Rockets can trade arguably their 3rd, 4th, and 5th best players for the best player in the game are hilarious. Any LeBron "trade" with Houston would have to start with Harden.
