Here you go again. Where did I predict any East team would beat the Heat in the playoffs the last two years? Or the Spurs? I specifically said the Pacers didn't have enough heart to close them out when they were up 2-1 two years ago. Same issue last year. Keep changing the subject, acting silly and beating up a straw man. Very ironic you say someone else is the little boy who cried wolf when you are the one who makes stuff up out of thin air and whines. Not everybody is like you and acts like a juvenile. I won't predict a team to lose just because I want them to. Oh, and feel free to answer my original post if you can. Problem is, you can't.
Looks like Kyrie will need to hire this guy to deliver his free agency decision in a year or two: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6tAABtYdaZo&desktop_uri=/watch?v=6tAABtYdaZo
Kyrie Irving: 'I'm pretty sure I'm going to be here for a long time' Kyrie Irving said he enjoys being in Cleveland and playing for the Cavaliers, but stopped short of saying he'll take a max contract offer if he's presented with one this summer. ESPN's Chad Ford reported earlier Thursday in his weekly chat that Irving has privately told people he wants out of Cleveland. "There’s been so much so-called reports coming out that I don’t want to be here. That’s what you guys get paid to do, but that’s just so much negative attention," Irving said following the Cavs' 117-86 loss to the Knicks. "I know we’re struggling, but it’s not about me. It’s about our team. It’s about us fighting every day for each other and me fighting for my teammates. "Yes, I’m in Cleveland. I enjoy myself. I enjoy going out and competing at the highest level for the Cleveland Cavaliers. That’s what it’s about. It’s not about me and it’s not about this controversy, ‘Do I privately want out when my contract is up?’ I’m still in my rookie contract and I’m happy to be here. And I’m pretty sure I’m going to be here for a long time. I’m not saying anything to tell the future, but I’m pretty sure the relationship I have with Dan Gilbert and management extends off the court. I enjoy being here." When told he can sign a lucrative contract this summer, Irving said, "I'm aware of that," but stopped short of saying he'd sign here long term. "It’s still too early to say. I’m still trying to get through this season," he said. "Everybody is trying to antagonize this team and put it on me. I’m here for my teammates, I’m here for Coach Brown and the coaching staff and I’m going to play my heart out every single night for the Cleveland Cavaliers."
He didn't mention the rings at all. Debate the content of his post, don't resort to childish, trolling. The way Lebron left was a douche move, his success or change of attitude doesn't change that fact. Lebron wanted to play with the best to win, rather than go against the best where good players just ended up on his team (Jordan never asked the GM to bring in Pippen). The East is weak as piss and has been for a long time now. He is fortunate to be able to cruise into the playoffs and get a sub-par .500 team in the first round. Also you don't need to act like a b**** because people bet against Lebron. The dude failed often before he start to win. Pacers will knock them off this year. They defend, can contain the paint and improved there bench shooting from last year. An argument against that isn't, 'you bet against the King and lost so learn never to bet against him' isn't valid.
He's young, talented, and reeks of potential. If Cousins got a max, so will Irving. I don't think he's going anywhere - yet. Gotta get that first payday under his belt. That seems to be how it works. The problem with Cleveland is their draft history. If they can't find better players, no one will blame Irving for eventually forcing his way out.
Here we go again. Another (insert random team here) will beat the heat this year simply because the poster didn't like the way LeBron left Cleveland, even though the poster has no ties or no interest in the Cleveland Cavs.
Do you want me to dig up your old posts. How about Game 6 in Boston in 2012 when you said Miami wasn't going to beat Boston at home and then LeBron went beast mode? How about in 2011 when the Bulls won game 1 and the entire bbs said Miami was done then they reeled off 4 straight. How about the 2012 finals when the Thunder won game 1? How about all those battles between me and Pacertom in the two pacer's series? Who came out on top in those game threads? Remember the year of the king thread? 99.9% of the things I have predicted about LeBron and Miami have come true. Remember all of this started in 2011 when I threw my support behind LeBron before he had any rings. I was the butt of many "King with no rings" jokes around here. That all changed my friend and I've stood strong with my predictions and stances. The only thing I've missed up to this point is the Dallas series in 2011, so I'm not perfect. You act like a knowledgeable NBA poster the majority of the time but your bias against "the decision" consumes your otherwise rational thoughts and emotions. You just can't let it go. I think the way LeBron handled free agency was textbook perfect, until the decision show on ESPN. Although I think it was a mistake and LeBron admits it was a mistake, it still wasn't as big of a deal as some of you guys make it out to be. Yes it was unprofessional and silly, but it's not like it was LeBron's idea. LeBron's agent along with ESPN set that up and convinced him to do it and the money DID go to charity. It went to the boys and girls club of NY - it was still wrong and unprofessional I agree. LeBron had no idea what class and professionalism was at the time. He was raised by a classless single mother with absolutely no father figure in his life and he was part of a ridiculous organization & Dan Gilbert who also has no class taught him nothing. That all changed when he went to Miami and was taught professionalism by Pat Riley which is why LeBron is the consummate professional today. Even his first year in Miami he was still a punk. Remember him and Wade coughing and mocking Dirk? LeBron would never do something like that today. People make mistakes and they change. Wade, however is still a punk. I live here in Miami and I see the truth. LeBron is a professional, a family man, a wonderful father and husband and he's active in the community. A true role model for young kids. Wade on the other hand is a punk.
A_3PO - Here's a beauty from the Boston game thread in 2012: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6908044&postcount=2306
The Decision doesn't consume my emotions and it's a long dead event. But when you still post drivel blaming ESPN, advisers and fans instead of LeBron, I called it out. He does seemed to have learned from the mistake. I totally agree LeBron deserves props overcoming such a nutcase mother and have said so many times, including recently. I didn't pick the Heat to lose any of those series except maybe OKC. But after going down 3-2 to Boston, I thought the Celts would win. Your discussions with Pacertom were fine, but I continued expressing doubt about the Pacers. Against OKC, I still wonder would have happened if Bonehead weren't a stubborn idiot. But that was 2 years ago and long gone. Don't gloat about being right. Every homer fan who's team wins can brag the same way. Years ago following a 10-game winning streak and after I called him a hopeless super-homer (for the Houston Oilers), a friend of mine shot back at me "I've also been right 10 times in-a-row"! Big whoop. So I guess homers of championship teams are better progonisticators than other fans? No, they are all just homers. Winning "bets" on home teams don't count. You are 2-1 the last 3 years just like every Heat homer. Congrats.
Post the link to the entire Heat/Pacers Heat/Celtics threads to get the context. Before both series, I didn't pick the Heat to lose either.
Fair enough, but the interesting thing about me is that I'm not really a homer type fan. I was never even a LeBron fan UNTIL he went to Miami. Not because he went to Miami, but because of all the hate he was getting. I became a LeBron defender more than a homer and then that grew into me becoming a fan after my family also just happened to move from Houston to Miami. Once LeBron leaves Miami I won't be a Heat fan any longer so I'm not a homer. Just a huge fan of a particular player. Wade is still a punk.
He is healthy. Very healthy. They rest him for strategic reasons, not because his knees actually have problems. We know this here in Miami. Riley doesn't want to get "fined" for resting him for no reason so they throw in the knee thing... But also, Wade WASN'T healthy the past two years and they won the NBA finals. What makes this year any different? Are the other teams stronger? Is Miami weaker by adding Greg Oden and Beasley? Miami basically has the same team minus Mike Miller. Is that why they need a healthy Wade or is it because the other teams like IND, OKC, and SA have gotten stronger? What is it about this year that Miami need s a super duper healthy Wade to win?
Not directly, but you indirectly make comments as if they are over matched. You leave yourself some wiggle room. The only one, you're right is you pretty much directly picked OKC and crowned Durant after game 1 of the finals in 2012. You were fairly neutral in the boston/indiana series, so I apologize. The Bulls series after game 1 in 2011 is also questionable.
Keep on topic and don't resort to personal attacks. That's lame. We are having a good honest debate here about Cleveland, Miami, LeBron and you come in here with that. Ice on the freeways and that cubicle life got you down bro?
