You are a terrible poster. I thought Remi was bad, but he actually comes out saying something intelligent every once in a while. You are an insecure tool, and that is easy to sniff from your post. You insult him yet, not one board member has remotely agreed with anything you have said. What is wrong with you?
Not saying we need to get Aaron Donald, but just as a point of reference some of the other "decent" DT's in the NFL: Here's Aaron Donald's info: Spoiler Here's Dontari Poe: Spoiler Vince Wilfork: Spoiler His #'s look eerily similar to Geno Atkins: Spoiler Bobby, it looks like you're "greater" than we realized. You could be a starting DT in the NFL bro!!!
He's not a good fit as a DE and an even worse fit as an OLB. He's a 3 tech, not a 5 tech and certainly not as a 7 or 9 tech. He doesn't actually have "speed" he has quickness, which he can use to jump a gap on a guard and get inside position so that his small arm length doesn't matter. If he was playing further outside, there's no way he could avoid getting caught up in the MUCH longer arms of tackles and pushed around. He doesn't have size, speed, or arm size to win battles with tackles, they'd just shove him further outside and he'd be out of the play.
HAHAAHHAHAHAHA!!! dude, bobby probably views himself as an "effective game manager" in the mold of Russell Wilson of Colin Kaepernick. Bobby, how do you like them apples? I am sure you have an "explanation" for the knowledge this poster just dropped on you. Great post, primtim24!!! ......short arms.......loloololol
Ugh, really? Wilfork and Poe are giant nose tackles so you really aren't getting anywhere posting their info because if Donald was 40 or 50 pounds heavier then we wouldn't be having this conversation. As to Geno, that's a name I've heard a lot brought up with Donald, but there are a lot of people that don't think he'll be able to add the extra 15 pounds to his frame to play over 300 pounds like Atkins does. Some think his frame is pretty much tapped out at the 288 he's at now. Also important to point out, Atkins isn't a DE or OLB either so I'm guessing you are just dismissing those ludicrous comments just like I did.
Yo Bobby, stop changing the subject.... We are looking at his ARM LENGTH... Something which you described as "short"..... His arms are only 1/4 of an inch shorter than someone who is 3+ inches taller than him... You are the biggest rat-weasel on this board. BTW.. Geno Atkins can easily be a 3-4 DE.
A lot of people? Are you an insider? LMAO. This dude is such a tool. I'm dying. Please keep posting and embarrassing yourself further.
I'm not changing the subject, I'm talking about an undersized DT with short arms, bringing up the fact that there are some huge planetoid type DT's that do very well with short arms proves absolutely nothing because Donald isn't that type of player. The closest to a similar type player that was posted was Atkins, who bulked up to over 300 pounds before being effective and the word about Donald is that his frame may not be able to add the weight like that.
I won't debate you about his versatility. But if you're worried about a tackle getting his arms on Donald as a DE in the 4-3 _ you most certainly better worry about him getting double teamed in Romeo's 3-4. But he's talented. If he was taller he would most likely be a 1st round pick.
His burst off the line is really amazing, if he was 20 or 30 pounds heavier, or if he was viewed to have the type of frame that would carry that weight he could be a top 10 pick.
Your asinine argument has come to this: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/fLk7x7JL1fo?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
That's alot of weight to add to his frame and expect him to still have the same burst. He may can get as heavy as Atkins though and he thrives in the 4-3 in Cincinnati. As long as a 4-3 team gets him he'll be fine. And if we ran a 4-3 I wouldn't mind having him...
SMH, I honestly don't know why I even reply to you. Time and time again you prove yourself incapable of intelligent discussion. From now on I'll try making my responses completely infantry-proof in hopes that you'll be able to follow along. You were probably confused as to why arm length would matter more on an undersized DT than it would to a planet sized NT. I can understand this confusion, so I'll try to alleviate it. You see, arm size doesn't really matter when you are a 340 pound DT, you gain leverage with your sheer size and strength, it doesn't matter if O linemen have their hands on you because your bulk is simply too much to push back. When you are an undersized DT weighing significantly less than the O linemen you are going up against, if they get their hands on you then you aren't going anywhere. A guy like Donald makes up for this with a really really fast first move so that he can get inside the O linemen negating their arm length. If you beat them off the line, you can ensure they can't keep you in front of them, that's why the 3 tech works so well for him and that's why he shouldn't play anywhere else. He can't be a NT because he's too small, he can't be in a 2 gap system because it would prevent him from getting attacking the gap, and he can't be a DE because he doesn't have the height, speed, or arm size for it. Note: when I said "speed" I'm not talking about quickness, I'm talking about proper speed. I hope this helped.
It's infuriating to read. He is a young kid who hasn't done his football research and comes off in communist fashion to prove a point that has no factual substance. I would have already banned him had I the power to do so. He is trolling the hell out of me right now.
Donald is 6'0-6'1 and he has the arm length of someone who is 6'4... but, "he has short arms"... Kevin Bacon was not in Footloose.
