Ford did not indicate Irving would be traded, but that Cleveland may be inclined to make a trade to help keep him. So the question becomes, is there a trade not involving Irving that could be made to improve the Cavs this year (especially where the Rockets are concerned)?
horrible franchise, when you have lebron and irving, you have to spend the first couple of years stripping down the franchise and rebuilding with quality pieces...then when its time to re-sign, the team is in a good position to compete...desperation trades for big contracts for a temporary fix is not the way to go
Rondo for Lin DWill for Lin Irving for Lin You people are r****ded. It's an obsession with names without thinking exactly how they would fit into this so called "system".
I'm saying that there was close to a 0% chance he was going to stay in Cleveland, and he knew this, before the season even ended, but continued to proclaim the opposite. The Big 3 in Miami plan had been in motion for a while.
He averages 22 and 6 on a terrible team. He's an all star and HE'S ONLY 21! He's only going to get better, especially on defense. He's a chucker because his team has nowhere else to go, and he plays no defense because he's uninspired in a terrible situation in Cleveland (that shouldn't really be an excuse, but it's true). If you really prefer Monta Ellis to Kyrie Irving, then you are living up to your username.
You know who else was a "finesse" PG? Steve Nash. I'll take a finesse PG any day of the week if his court vision is otherworldly. For the next decade there is no PG I would rather have. Athletes like Rose, Westbrook, Wall will break down. Veterans like Paul and Parker won't make it 3-4 more years at their current levels. Irving has staying potential. Look at who he's been playing with; other teams key 100% of their focus on him. People don't understand this when they say that he can't finish at the rim. His touch at the rim is amazing, it's just that he has to make it past 3 guys to get a fair shot off. He's also a pure shooter from the outside. If a Kyrie Irving shakes loose (and I highly doubt he will), you throw the kitchen sink at the Cavs to get him.
This dude has one of the worst attitudes in the league from what I have read. Not in a royce white sort of way, he is apparently really smart but is super arrogant and disrespectful to other players and the fans of cleveland.
The voice of reason speaks again. The NBA is structured so that Kyrie can't do anything about this. He better learn to love Cleveland because he'll be there for a while.

Just no. Kyrie can shoot really well, but our back court defense would be so horrible it won't be funny. Don't even kid about that lolol
You are a joke and remind me of Linsaniacs. LeBron blew it royally. Simple as that. To you he's the Teflon Man and your mind is permanently programmed. Nobody gives a care about Cleveland fans. Of course they were angry at him. But for those of us who didn't blame him for leaving and wanted him to leave, LeBron poured gasoline on himself and lit a match. You can continue pretending not to understand (I hope you are pretending) but the act is old and worn out. Continue worshipping your King. He can do no wrong. It's someone else's fault LeBron did something jerky and said a lot of stupid things in the weeks following. Blame ESPN and "people around him". Forget he was as 7-year NBA veteran when it happened, not some novice in the bright lights for the first time.
