Johnny hurt his knee in October against Ole Miss and played on it for the rest of the year. I think that's part of the reason why Johnny didn't run as much or look as fast as he did during his freshman year. He probably could be neutralized in the NFL but they had a hard time trying to neutralize him and his hurt knee in college.

They said the same about Cam before the Combine. If they're still "hearing" that after the Combine, I'll believe it. I still think it's Teddy or Clowney. That's it.

Funny how Cam has been asked to stop leaving the pocket for Carolina and had his best year yet.

Bridge is a better passer than Cam.

    This has been covered.

    The same was said about:

    Brees
    Brady
    Montana
    Manning
    and numerous other HOF's

take it for a very tiny grain of salt

I love Cam but Bridgewater is a much better passer than Cam even is now.

Yea I saw that... But Walter also still have the Texans drafting Teddy with the #1 pick, the last time I checked.

LOL, and they still have TB going number one overall to Houston.

What point are you trying to prove?

Simply that he's not viewed as highly as some here would have you believe. They still believe that the Texans will reach for need rather than going BPA, I hope they're wrong.

Not as big of an arm as Cam and doesn't make him a better QB... Which he is not...

So much hate hate hate coming from both sides. I want Teddy, but I'll still get up and excited for Clowney or Maziel. Some of you make it seem like you'll denounce your fanhood if the Texans don't draft your guy.

    Got game rewind

Bridgewater is definitely better than Cam even at this point.

    1. Cam misses reads (presumably trying to take care of the ball)
    2. Still developing as anticipation thrower
    3. Lacks touch on the short to intermediate throws
    4. Is prone to taking the drive killing sack

Bridgewater is better than him in most if not every facet of qbing besides arm strength

Bridgewater would be between Wilson and Luck, leaning closer to Luck

My top list of young (2011 draft- beyond) qbs

    1. Luck
    2. Wilson
    3. Cam
    4. Foles

I'll just worry that the Texans will go through another half decade of futility if they draft a meh QB in this draft rather than setting up their defense to dominate.

Best player in this draft is Sammy Watkins. Texans don't need a wide out.

And guess what the luxury of the number one pick? You get to pick the best player at the biggest position of need. Well smarty britches, that would be the QB position.

    As Josephnicks stated,

"[Clowney]'s lazy in conditioning. He does what he wants and has a different set of rules," said one scout. "He has the attitude of 'What are you going to do? Bench me?' He isn't a great worker and he doesn't do anything he doesn't want to do."

How do you read that, after knowing he had a horrible year by his standards and say he is the surefire guy?

Lets dig deeper in to character, kid is caught going excessive speeds putting his/others life in danger. Weeks later, he does it again. Character issues.

Potential? Bridgewater has potential to be a top tier QB, as does Johnny Manziel and both of them have more heart than Clowney. You do not understand the importance of the QB position. You need a really good QB to consistently get to the big games. A great defense and poor QB play still gets you the number 4 pick(Hello Cleveland Browns).

You fail to realize the importance of a great QB, and Bobby the Great, this is why I do not take you serious.

Cam dominated his college conference on his own on offense and won a championship in the process.

We'll see how Bridgewater looks in the pros next year and we'll compare than. Because you're comparing a guy who played in a weak conference to a guy who's actually playing in the NFL.

Cam was a completely different player. He was kind of like Tebow(obviously a more dynamic player), but didn't he throw the ball upwards of about 50+ times his whole senior year(I am too lazy to look this up)?

I think the Russel Wilson comparisons are accurate.

Will not argue the point about Cam.

The weak conference argument could be made about any qb who plays college ball. Is AJ McCarron a top draft pick because he played in a "strong conference" and won in it?

Bridgewater also plays with a weak offense team around him
