When Yao Ming got hurt the team played better as well. That's because other players stepped their games up. When the Dream went down Otis Thorpe and Carl Herrera stepped their games up in his absence.
It's really hard for me to listen to Bill, Bull and Clyde these days. But I used to like Bill and Calvin, they balanced each other out more. These three dudes currently together are like a side circus show where you are just waiting for the trick to appear or blow up.
Doesn't seem so nefarious when you see it. http://www.csnhouston.com/rockets/parsons-ive-never-won-here
Yeah it is true, it happens to most teams when their star player is out. The others have to step up, and because there are no go to scorer on the team everyone have to move the ball. We moved the ball much better without Yao Ming, but we also won a lot less games. The key is a balance in between, you can't simply win in the playoffs by just be moving the ball well without a star player, Last year's denver proved that.
That's about as credible as the numbers which clearly say Bev should be starting over Lin, a.k.a Not.
Well the Coach himself is a different issue... Like I said, you hardly hear stuff like this coming out of players mouths on championship contending teams. Not even with KD and Westbrook. It shows a sign of bad chemistry and team weakness. Those should be issues the players discuss amongst themselves. And popping off at the mouth to the media doesn't solve anything on the court. And as bad as Parsons and others have played at times _ Harden has NEVER called any of them out in the media and he easily could have. Parsons has his mind on his contract... Which I don't blame him. But this team still has a lot of growing up to do. They're not strong enough and on the same page mentally to make a championship run when the playoffs roll around and little things like this shows it.
Most likely if we play team ball for the first 3 quarters, we probably won't have to go hero ball in the 4th.
The flaw with this stat is that Lin/Bev/Brooks bring the ball up the court much more often than Harden, which takes up ~6 seconds per posession, but that is not relevant to the ball being sticky during the actual offense, compared to harden dribbling it around once they get to their side of the court. If you strip out the time it takes for lin/bev/brooks to bring the ball up the court, I would say (based on the eye test) that Harden does hold on to the ball for longer.
would you like to point out why those stats are invalid or do those stats just don't fit your eye test
Remember when the Lakers did that with Kobe and he came out in the next game and went a large portion of the game and didn't take a shot. And that was in the playoffs. Putting your business in the street like that is a great way to start animosity amongst players.
He left out this part: "...an efficient machine with no hopes of getting further than the second round."
Harden is not a selfish player. He just doesn't know when to ease off the pedal sometimes to let others get involved. LeBron is the master of that.
We beat a depleted Spurs team and a mediocre Mavs team. This team goes as far as Harden takes them (granted, he has to make his teammates better). But seriously, this has to stop.
The Rockets are more fun to watch with Harden out. That is true. I think it has to do with a few things. 1)Expectations are lower, so wins are unexpected 2) Allows T-Jones/Parsons to touch the ball more 3)Dwight gets more touches 4)Lin is fun to watch as the ball dominant guard Come playoff time, when you are playing good defensive teams, you need a guy who can hero ball you to a win at times. I think James will get better at spreading the rock around more. Just give the team time to come together. We are a little over half way through the season, meshing takes time.
