Give it another 10 more years... then it will have nostalgic value once its removed (like the gimmicky Astrodome scoreboard).

Like I said before, use the train to place the advertising billboard signs on... better than the facade.

I've never understood the train hate. I'd understand if it was random, but it being on Union Station is a cool tribute to the history of the location, IMO.

The Hill doesn't matter much to me. It so rarely comes into play, but when it does, it does make it interesting.

The thing I hate is the flag pole.

And the flag pole comes into play even less often than the hill does. There have been other oddities like flag poles and even ladders that have come into play in other ballparks that are deemed as national treasures.

MMP is too young to be making changes to the few things that make it actually "unique".

Take away all of those, and you're left with Safeco field... or the sky dome.

Ouch. Didn't mean to post that image so large. There's seriously no way for me to edit my posts?

Ah. Okay, thanks for the explanation. If a mod feels free to edit my huge image up there, that would be great though.

Count me in the minority that loves the hill and the flagpole.

You're certainly not alone! When you tell out-of-towners, they always want to see too.

I only problem with them both is that they are 495 (exaggeration of course) from home plate. To me, one of the coolest things in baseball is to see a guy (preferably an Astro) hit a homerun ball 425 feet to dead centerfield. That's just a fly ball here. To compound that, a guy can hit a pop fly 325 feet to the LF corner and get a homerun. Maybe I'm too much of a purist.

There were dimensions much quirkier than that historically. Check out the Polo Grounds for instance...or right field in Yankee Stadium. Purists generally love those older parks...and dimensions there were nuts.

MMP plays very, very fair. About as fair as any park in MLB. It gives in LF and takes away in CF.
