    This is becoming absurd.

The Rockets do not play better ball without Harden.
The Rockets are not a better team without Harden.

Stop with these idiotic overreactions after every game.

Harden for Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson. He is a great SG, but he just marginalize the PG position, and he is not at LBJ/prime Kobe's level ( I doubt that he ever will).

Lin + Eric Gordon + real good stretch 4 > Harden + just another PG.

Closer to a coaching problem than a GM problem. GM is to get the great pieces, which Morey delivered on. Coach has to make the total greater than the sum of the parts. Our current total is far below the sum of the parts

I feel like we are not utilizing our assets correctly. Lin conflicts with Harden, Asik conflicts with Howard. Ball being sticky. Defense rotational issues. Inbound defense issues. Shotclock issues. Low Assist/FG.

These don't feel like player issues. They are much more planning/strategy issues. Putting Lin on the bench may be the right move, but the details matter, too. Ex: let Bev/Parsons/Casspi handle the ball while playing with Lin, which makes putting Lin on the bench pointless. Straight up playing Asik for only 4 min after going away from TT instead of easing it in.

Just some examples. Maybe I'm not seeing something here and McHale has a deeper game in mind. But I'm often left scratching my head.

Pretty sure they are suppose to stand in the corners for the iso's. That is not on his teammates. As much of the lack of ball movement being an issue his lack of interest in defense is just as much of a liability. A good part of defense is effort and he puts very little effort on that end of the court. Harden could be much more valuable but the coaches continue to let him play it his way. Btw howard is the engine for the rockets. He causes guys to settle for jumpers, miss lay-ups and on offense he causes the other team to double creating opportunities for everyone.

Ban this idiot. Let's trade the best shooting guard in the league for an injury prone above average shooting guard. And a stretch 4 who just had a herniated disc.

Harden for Paul George...Paul can play SF and Parsons can move to PF.

    #championship.

I doubt we are better. But, the team seems more involved when Harden is out because they know the best scorer on the team is not in. So, other players involve themselves more in the offense and the ball seems to move better. A lot of the time when Harden is in....it's him dribbling at the top of the key and then he will do a drive which either results in a shot or to kick it out if defended well. Or, it's fed to Howard. The Rockets are just looking for more players and options to score when Harden is not in. The players know they have to be more attentive offensively when Harden is out and any one of them could have to take the shot versus Harden taking those shots. That doesn't necessarily make the Rockets better when Harden is out. But, I do think opponents can have a more difficult time handling the Rockets when Harden is out because they never know who will make up for Harden's scoring. It could be any player that steps up to fill that void. And, the Rockets have been pretty good at having various players step up when Harden is out.

Coaching is the problem, not Harden's presence.

Insult aside, the league's "best shooting guard" should know how to play on both ends of the floor and should have a net plus effect on any team.

The irony is: our genius McHale wants Harden play PG and Lin play SG.:eek:

How in the world could the player with the 9th best PER in the league last year, the highest win% on the team at 72.5%, and a player that is in 4 of the 5 most productive 5 man units of the Rockets in any way NOT be a net plus on a team??

Are you high dude or just trying to piss people off?

Then why are we having this conversation? Team should be obviously better with "the best SG" in the league.
