What time and day is it

Been in Germany for two weeks and chose Delta to get me home through Atlanta. I'm on day two delays. Standby for day 3

Trust me. Jet lag recovery while trying to get to the airport at 600am for a standby when that means to your body a +8 in a -1 departure

    Tough

And then factor in my dogsitter/housitter has to leave. I'm so screwed. Here

    Sorry man that sucks.

So do they give you any type if vouchers for this at all?

I got kicked from a Paris to Atlanta flight last year and my gf and I got 1600 euros. I was content with that

You're not in Htown anymore, right HP? If so, I'd help you out with the dog. Safe travels and hope they compensate you for all the hassle.

I'm also stuck in ATL. I was flying through to NYC from overseas and decided to stop in town on Monday for a few days to hang out with some folks. It was around 50 degrees on Monday and then this insane storm hit and now I can't drive or go anywhere in town. The place where I'm staying at lost water due a main water pipe bursting so we haven't had water for 3 days now.

Yesterday, we drove a little around town and it was scary looking. Cars piled in ditches. Almost at 45 degree angles. We stopped to see if anyone was in them like if the accident had just happened, but no one was in those cars. They were just wrecked in ditches and no one had removed them.

People had just abandoned cars on the highway and walked to shelter in places like Home Depot, Target and Publix for the night.

    Why... would ANYONE.. 'choose' Delta???

The only thing you are guaranteed to have with Delta is missed flight transfers and unreasonable delays.

Guess I have been lucky. I fly Delta or one of their partners over 90% of the time and I have rarely experienced an unreasonable delay due to the fault of Delta.

^^ I believe you GAIN time. Double negative in your English language applies, but not en espaƱol.
Does it matter WHICH airline it is if heyp is going to be stuck there because of the weather?

I mean, do some airlines compensate with different things? I'd think ALL airlines are going to be hated during a flight delay.

finally made it back to my dog and couch. three days of Delta-Atlanta hell.

This photo is from Monday morning in Switzerland at the top of the world skiing. It was the p e r f e c t day!

I even have a rule to never fly Delta. Yet, that's what my company bought me, and I even predicted something horrible was going to happen. In fairness, that was an extraordinary ice storm event that closed down the entire city and airport, like the Dec ice storm in Dallas that close DFW last month. I also drove through that.

I think it means lack of sleep over three days of travel delays across two continents makes you lose track of time and ability to frame a sentence correctly.
